Police officers can only drive faster than the speed limit when they are responding to an emergency situation where they believe there is an immediate and serious risk to life.
Not only do we have to adhere to the speed limit like every other driver - unless we are responding to a situation where a person is in danger - but there is also technology in our vehicles that monitors the speed at which we are travelling.
If we go over that limit it triggers an alert and we have to justify to our bosses why we breached that limit.

I believe all turn signals in America have been permanently disconnected.

I used to date the county sheriffs daughter in high school. He gave me rides a lot of times. 80 in a 35 was pretty typical for him.
It’s the UK. At least Northern Ireland has much better gun laws than England.
The rules here are:
1. Not using turn signals is preferred. It just confuses people half the time.
2. If you feel that you must use them, use them no more than five feet before _or after_ you start turning, and definitely _after_ you start braking for the turn.

Great Britain and Northern Ireland use MPH.
The Republic of Ireland uses KPH.
I use my turn signals for every turn and every lane change, when I was learning to drive my Father taught me to use both turn signals and hand signals.
Most folks today are just to lazy, stupid, or self absorbed to let other folks in traffic know what idiotic thing they are about to try next.
Yep, it’s a habit with me.
Part of the time, I drive a small car and try to stick to the speed limit. I pretty much get blown off the road; constantly.
Don’t tell anyone, but on the freeway I might go an extra 5 mph. Keeps some vehicles off my tail.
