Automaker Daimler says it doesn’t know how Kim Jong Un got his luxury limos.

German automaker Daimler said it has no idea how North Korean leader Kim Jong Un acquired its high-end limousines since it has no business relationship with the reclusive nation and U.N. sanctions prevent the sale of luxury goods to the North. Kim used Daimler-branded stretch limousines at his two summits with President Trump and at his recent meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin. The presence of Kim with Daimler limos confounded company officials, who cited the sanctions imposed on North Korea in order to pressure the country to abandon its nuclear weapons program.

The meeting was held in Russia so it’s very likely that it was loaned out to him............kinda like an Avis rental car.

Probably, unless you use mud as a condiment...

Close, but mud is too valuable to eat. And
since it can be used to make adobe bricks,
eating mud steals from the State.

“My cat explained it to me.”

Amazing. Most cats with knowledge of North Korea don’t live to tell.

Who knew that North Korea is also a “cargo cult” state?

They don’t even bother to hope. Here’s

There are some varieties of tree bark you could live off of. You eat the inner bark (the cambrium layer) which is where a lot of the tree’s nutrients are stored, not the rough and indigestible outer bark. Trees that form thicker cambrium layers are the ones most suitable for eating.

No, it can be quite fibrous and likely will exacerbate the need for a toothpick.

Don’t Germans have a history of ‘not knowing who got what” or “who did what to what race of people”??

I thought that’s what I said,
except I can’t spell exacerbate.

I knew Maybach was a German automaker and that they made the first successful tank transmission, but didn’t know they were acquired by Daimler Benz.

Wanted a Mercedes 600 Grand for a long time but now I just look them up on youtube.

I bought a grey market 450SE in Germany & it’s on blocks now, but that car was unmodified and it could FLY back in the day.

Maybe it was a Chinese knock off. Here is a Rolls Royce Geely GE.

Perhaps the limos were 'Dimlier Bentz' vehicles made in the Dongbei region.

Here is the North Korean, home grown limo:

The Mercedes was bought with American taxpayers money by Obama, who gave it to the Chinese along with nuclear weapons technologies and more money from the US Taxpayers, who gave it to Kim.

I remember reading a few years back, that Swiss Bank Accounts could be subpoenaed - may be wrong about under what circumstances - but the illegal offshore island accounts, couldn’t be.

Back in the 70s, I had a 190SK, 230SL, 250SL, 280SL, 300SL Gullwing and a 300 SLR. Lots of maintenance and difficulty getting original parts, and the mechanical fuel injection was a nightmare. I flipped them all to a collector on Key Biscayne, and made a small fortune. Glad to get rid of them.

I don't get the point of keeping him and NK isolated. SK has a very successful economy and they've adapted well to our ways. We could bring our troops home and let SK do their economic miracle with their countrymen to the north.

Why would NK give up their weapons? We have a very bad record, toppling governments that don't bow to us militarily and economically. Bolton's Ugly American agenda is turning a potential friend into a friend for other spheres of influence.
