The Cook County state's attorney's office is a mess that voters might have anticipated in 2016 when Kim Foxx's credentials and ethics were challenged: she inflated her felony trial experience and sidestepped questions about her once-lapsed law license. [In] office she has not cited conflicts of interest in personal injury cases.
[T]he issue of her credentials has been largely dismissed due to her rising celebrity. Her inexperience, poor judgment and misaligned sense of ethics -- not her race -- have led to the mistrust we endure today.
The state's attorney's office is being mismanaged by a politician who touts reform but lacks the competence and professional judgment to manage a complex prosecutor's office.
Virtually everyone wants lawbreakers to be punished. The enigma is how Foxx concluded that she has the power to circumvent the system.
She has been rebuked for her "colloquial" recusal. Her policies on charging, bonding and sentencing often leave police, victims and judges in dismay at her insensitivity to repeat offenses involving drugs, weapons and violent crime.
Foxx seems to see herself as a reform politician rather than the county's chief legal officer. It is as if she believes prosecutorial discretion gives her license to decide what is a crime, who is a criminal, who should be punished and how severely.
Discretion is not a license. It is to be used within the confines of the law to produce results everyone -- including law enforcement -- supports: reducing violent crime, lowering jail populations and giving second chances where warranted.
Under Foxx, these goals are being pursued to the detriment of the legal system when the office either doesn't press charges or dismisses them. When it does prosecute and win guilty verdicts or obtain plea bargains, sentence recommendations too often are lax and plea deals often defy logic.

Criticizing an affirmative action beneficiary?
Thas rasis.
Chicago has gotten Baltimored.
The Midas Touch of radical RAT stereotypes. Totally predictable.
No, the Jussie Smollet case exposed her.
Truth be told it was a mess before she got there. Foxx is just stupid enough to let it all come to public attention.
L
A Judge just hammered her office on the bench over someone getting hit with a felony for lying to police since they let Smollett off.
Unfortunately, many Black lawyers, judges and DA's seem to be doing their own form of jury nullification and ignoring the laws. It's occurring in almost every city in America, terrible.
Soros buys bargain basement trash.
Film at 11.
One look at this women would give any impartial bystander pause. First she doesn't look the part of someone who should be running the state attorney's office and after a month or so in office it was clear she was way in over her head.
“Business owners say since the Cook County States Attorneys Office stopped prosecuting lower-level retail theft, things have gotten worse. Theyre hoping to see that change, and are also calling for more police presence along Michigan Avenue.”
5 will get you 10 her campaign contributor included Soros.
It seems to me some media are going out of the way to post horrid pictures of her.
Not all her photos are horrendous...but they are choosing some really butt ugly ones.
Of course, the photo with the blue klux klan guy was one of the worst. she looked deformed
She is a quota filler.
They need proof of an actual crime, not just lousy/politicized judgement, and she’ll be toast. As dirty as she is and with as many people looking, chances are good. She is the “states” attorney, not the city’s and the cops hate her with a passion.
When’s the last time it wasn’t corrupt?
I guess it has just been more competently corrupt in the past...
