HL -- Good summary of their infamous lives -- the Bonnie and Clyde of politics. Both the Clintons and Obamas are desperate to stay in the public eye. It's their way of defending themselves from the indictments coming. A person who is out of sight and out of mind is far more vulnerable to proper justice being meted out. But if their fans are roused up, the justice to be served is less likely to occur: serious jail time or swinging from a freshly constructed Civil War era gallows, freshly built with Home Depot lumber. If that occurred, defeating the Deep State would be much easier.

As for the reasons the Dems and media wanted to sink, Nixon, I suspect another one was Deep Throat's (Mark Felt's) vendetta against Nixon for passing him over as head of the FBI.

But that was merely a private vendetta that served a useful way for the Dems and media to execute removal of Nixon.

Woodward and Bernstein are despicable characters.
