It’s “tried” in the Senate, you need a 2/3rds majority to convict/remove. The current Senate breakdown is 57 GOP & 47 Rat. Assuming all Rats hold their ground (I don’t think Manchin will if he wants to run again for WV Guv!). The scum would need 19 GOP to defect. Not going to happen! Not with Trumps current popularity! At best maybe 6! Then Pence is Prez I don’t see how the Rats get an improvement! To impeach & remove Pence, you got to go through it all again. Prez & Veep are two separate offices! It just appear not to be because of the now stupid thoughtless way we do things!

When Clinton was impeached there was an independent counsel report that left no if’s and’s or but’s about a crime having been committed. There was no “we can’t decide” or “it looks bad but there isn’t enough evidence.” Starr made it clear.
Now, I would argue it was a political mistake to impeach Clinton. It made him a victim but there were supportable grounds.
In this case the democrats SOLD the American People on Russian Collusion. There was no doubt. It was a fact. The investigation went absolutely bust and the Mueller report flew in the direct face of the story having been fed to the public.
So they are going to impeach Trump facing those headwinds based on what? Obstruction?!?! Every fair minded American knows that they would be charging him for obstruction of an investigation THAT SHOULD HAVE NEVER HAPPENED IN THE FIRST PLACE!! Even better, the “obstruction” was the man protesting his innocence.

I disagree. I think she knows it’s a losing issue but her base wants it and more importantly she needs to do this to protect those that Barr is going to arrest soon. They will say Barr did it to protect Trump. Those people would be key witnesses against Trump in an impeachment. So Barr made them look bad by arresting them for “doing their jobs”.
Typical politician statement that can be taken more than one way:
1. If we find evidence worthy of high crimes and misdemeanors, we will have no choice but impeach..
2. If our party is so desperate that there’s no other way to oust Trump, we will have no choice but impeach...
I think she means the first answer but wants the nutballs to hear the second answer so she doesn’t appear to be blocking impeachment.
