The lawyers’ ads on the internet aggressively seeking clients to file sexual abuse lawsuits give a taste of what lies ahead this year for the Boy Scouts of America: potentially the most fateful chapter in its 109-year history.
Sexual abuse settlements have already strained the Boy Scouts’ finances to the point where the organization is exploring “all available options,” including Chapter 11 bankruptcy. But now the financial threats have intensified.
The reason: States have been moving in recent months to adjust their statute-of-limitations laws so that victims of long-ago sexual abuse can sue for damages. New York state has passed a law that will allow such lawsuits starting in August. A similar bill in New Jersey has reached the governor’s desk. Bills also are pending in Pennsylvania and California.

I used to donate monthly, for decades.
Then I realized with the direction the leadership was going,
I’d just be helping them to pay the settlements that were sure to come.
My brother told me that his scout leader in the 70’s was messing with some of the boys in his troop. He found that out after the fact. Luckily for him, he was over 6 feet in junior high and a tough dude. I guess the leader figured my brother was not easy prey. Bless and protect the victims he did get.

Sad to note what has happened to what I once enjoyed.
Anecdotal evidence from some elder male relatives long dead leads me to believe that scouting has long been a bastion of queerness. I did the whole enchilada from cub scout to explorer. Cubs was fine because mothers were the unit leaders. Boy scouts was a bit different because some of the scoutmasters were not married with sons in the troop and adult single male assistants were a red flag. By the time explorers rolled around, most of us were smoking and drinking and driving and would beat the snot out of any faggots that would try to intervene.
Another reason to destroy the Boy Scouts is it taught you to be resourceful and do things yourself and survive w/o help. Another word for that was it taught Freedom. Can’t have that ya know. Need you to be dependent.

Democrats turned the Boy Scout into a holding tank for young boy’s for Queer vultures!!!
I don’t have as much of an issue with co-ed types such as the Explorers, and I did think about taking that step. That said, I have always thought there was value in a boys-only organization, since anyone who pays attention knows that boys behave much differently when girls are around, and not always in a good and constructive way.
Plus, many young boys feel awkward around girls longer than the reverse is true, I think.
That is biology at play.

As a society, perhaps we can agree that Pedophilia is wrong. I don't just mean that it is wrong for Republicans, or the Boy Scouts, a view that even liberals hold, but wrong for everybody. Next, what does one think about the North American Man Boy Love Association (NAMBLA)? Isn't that pedophile advocacy? Can we get bipartisan denunciation of NAMBLA? Just for fun, maybe the Trump and the GOP should ask Democrats to join them in denouncing NAMBLA.
