Filipino President Rodrigo Duterte on Tuesday reportedly threatened to "declare war" against Canada within the next week if the country fails to remove tons of garbage that was previously shipped to Manila.

Duterte, in remarks aired by state media and reported by The Canadian Press, said he will "give a warning to Canada maybe next week that they better pull that thing out or I will set sail."

"I will declare war against them. I will advise Canada that your garbage is on the way. Prepare a grand reception. Eat it if you want to," he said. "Your garbage is coming home."

I’ve seen that here in NW OH, the welfare bums stay home and collect benefits while their women work daily jobs. And some of the women collect benefits, too, with their paychecks... Disgusting! I’m too nervous to steal!

"It might be entertaining to see what Duterte would do with our southern border..."

There would be dozens of helicopters loaded with illegal aliens flying 24-hrs a day south into mexico and dumping them from 1000 feet...

This technique has worked just fine for him in dealing with moslems and drug dealers...

Duterte is all blather. What’s he going to use to fight Canada after he declares war?

Can’t even protect his own country from Chinese incursions into the Philippine owned islands.

Folks making fun of Canada need to realize they battled us to a draw (some historians even say they defeated the U.S.) in War of 1812, and was renowned as fierce fighters in the Coalition during the Afghanistan and Iraq Wars. Canadians are some bad mofos. Don’t let the laid-back atmosphere fool you.

They’ll have to just figure out how to smuggle enough guns past the customs people.

***************************************

Fly the troops into Mexico on tourist visas, coach for the enlisted, business for the officers. Tour buses up to the US border. Walk across.

Meet previously arraigned buses that take the troops to Detroit.

Buy weapons.

Invade Canada.

Justin Trudeau is down in the Philippines? I don’t blame him for wanting to send that trash home. I suspect Canada will go to war though before taking the trash back. 8>)

Apparently, the Chinese have stopped accepting garbage for recycling. As I understand it, the labor cost which used to be very low, is now high enough that recycling doesn’t pay.

When I used to go to Marpan, the recycling company, to dump trash, it was a clean several acres with a few neat piles. Lately, it has turned into mountains of stuff. Yesterday, there was barely room to put anything.

Let’s face it. Recycling trash, other than aluminum, does not pay for itself. Sending the stuff to China or some other country just moves the effort out of our back yard and into some poorer country’s front yard. NIMBY.

Oh this young man has had a very trying rookie season, with the litigation, the notoriety, his subsequent deportation to Canada and that country's refusal to accept him, well, I guess that's more than most 21-year-olds can handle.

Here's a different article with more details, which I excerpted from before:

Philippines president gives Canada a week to take back tonnes of trash, or he will 'declare war' and send it back himself
