As for being sedentary, when I think of a modern tranny, I think of the tumblr SJW types that come up with 50 imaginary genders and spend all their time complaining on social media, so that’s not too surprising.

One of the things missing in journalism is journalists able to speak truths they readily know without any research. Such journalists are always absent because someone is offended by those truths.
It’s body dysmorphia.
They’ve renamed it gender dysmorphia to separate it rhetorically from the other form of body dysmorphia where people believe they have too many arms, legs, eyes, ears, whatever and want those surgically removed. Or, they were meant to be born as lizards, or snakes, or tigers or whatever and need to be surgically remade into appearing as those.
It is a mental illness.
All the cheering and “empowerment” in the world ain’t gonna change that.
There’s an entire industry of con-artists and frauds built around profiteering off that illness.
Many years ago, Johns Hopkins University Hospital stopped doing sex-change operations because it found no better, and possibly worse, outcomes for those who had the surgery compared with those who had not. An internal review committee at JHU recently overturned this decision, claiming that the earlier conclusion was not scientifically valid because it did not use a proper control group, and today JHU performs such surgery. I doubt that JHU will now reverse its new policy; the trans lobby is too vocal and strong.
Sadly, two people (not related to each other, probably don’t know each other) I knew during my childhood, have “transgender” children, both living in St. Louis area.
One is female to male (and she seems to go from one girlfriend to another with no considerations of long-term relationships), the other is male to female (he has a “girlfriend” and I cannot decide what gender the “girlfriend” is).
I look at both of their twitter accounts occasionally, and 90% of the remarks are about their emotional issues, victimhood, just needing “time for myself”, time to recover, commenting on the unfairness of society, etc., etc. These transgender young people are both around 30 years old.
I am not sure about physical health issues, but both are extremely affected by emotional issues, that cannot seemingly be resolved.
One actually has a “real” job, likely with health insurance and other benefits. The other one, I would be surprised if she has any health insurance (maybe free 0bamacare)?
If I didn't log onto FR I wouldn't know such amazing facts.
My theory is that these “transgender” kids are today’s “Moonies” from the 70’s and 80’s. They are/were just sad, lonely people looking for help and looking for acceptance - - from anyone.
Undergoing elective vivisection will do that to you.

I just feel very bad for the parents of these young adults, and wonder if it was something they did or didn’t do....
Possibly it has nothing to do with the parents, as both families have other children who are very normal and successful, etc.
Well, they seem to purposely destroy their body when they have unnecessary surgery and put hormones from the opposite sex into them. Sure seems like a recipe for poor health.
