The head of the House Judiciary Committee issued a subpoena Monday seeking the public testimony of former White House counsel Don McGahn to probe possible obstruction of justice by President Trump, following the release of special counsels Robert Muellers report.
Chairman Jerrold Nadler (D-N.Y.) described McGahn as a critical witness who may be able to shed light on cases in which he says Trump may have sought to obstruct Muellers investigation, a matter that is being examined as part of his panels sprawling probe into possible obstruction of justice, public corruption and abuses of power by the president and his inner circle.
McGahns testimony was featured extensively in Muellers report, which stated that Trump told him to remove Mueller in June 2017, according to the former White House counsel. McGahn refused to do so, fearing it would have been viewed as triggering another Saturday Night Massacre, the 448-page report says.
"Mr. McGahn is a critical witness to many of the alleged instances of obstruction of justice and other misconduct described in the Mueller report," Nadler said in a statement Monday evening.
"His testimony will help shed further light on the President's attacks on the rule of law, and his attempts to cover up those actions by lying to the American people and requesting others do the same," Nadler continued.

Nadler the Mueller want to be ,LOL
All hear say.......
It’s time for executive privilege.
Not a thing wrong with despising evil, wherever it might be found.
I know nothing about McGhan and the type of witness he could be in front of this committee.
This is ludicrous. McGahn was interviewed 30 HOURS!! This is such a waste of time with total chaos on the borders but because it is now between equal branches of government It is privileged!! Shut them down!!Separation of powers now kicks in. McGahn was interviewed by the executive branch to the executive branch. No Privilege!! But now Privilege kicks in. Same with Mueller. Watch. Screw these jack asses. I’m tired of this. They fiddle while the border BURNS!!The democrats are committing political suicide but it is hurting the nation badly.
Ask McGahn under oath if he is NYT Anonymous.
Yep.
The irony is so profound.
Some might say that McGahn obstructed Trump’s attempts to obstruct.
Gonna need lots of popcorn.
1. The tax payers just paid for a special counsel investigation by a crooked Democrat. How can they now do another investigation? Does this mean that special counsels should be illuminated because the democrats are saying that they are not effective?
2. Attorney- Client privilege seems to come into play here.
“Eric Holder Is Defying the Law by Resisting Subpoena”
Why not just do what the Democrats do?
Will somebody please tell President Trump that the best defense is a good offense? Its well past time to bring Hillary, her cronies, and Democrats to face their day of reckoning.
Executive privilege. President Trump allowed him to speak to Mueller but he needs to claim executive privilege when it comes to congress.
Executive Privilege and let’s not forget attorney-client privilege. However, Rat Cohn was willing to be disbarred in order to toss attorney-client privilege into the gutter.
Mr. McGahn or any member of the Trump admin should refuse to testify and if forced take the 5th. Purgery traps will abound.
How do you obstruct a coup? That is not the rule of law.
Yep
