Whew! For a little while I was wondering if the Tamil Tigers, a Hindu separatist group, were back, ten years after the Sri Lankan armed forces defeated them.

The Tigers were made up largely of Tamils with Hindu backgrounds (that's confusing on its own), but the organization was your run-of-the-mill violent criminal gang espousing socialism and 'liberation'.
