Former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee (R) blasted Sen. Mitt Romney on Friday after the Utah Republican said he was "sickened" by President Trump's actions in the Mueller report.
"Know what makes me sick, Mitt? Not how disingenuous you were to take @realDonaldTrump $$ and then 4 yrs later jealously trash him & then love him again when you begged to be Sec of State, but makes me sick that you got GOP nomination and could have been @POTUS," Huckabee tweeted.
Huckabee, an ally of Trump who is also the father of White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders, pushed back hours after the Utah senator blasted the "dishonesty and misdirection" described in special counsel Robert Mueller's report.
"I am sickened at the extent and pervasiveness of dishonesty and misdirection by individuals in the highest office of the land, including the President," Romney said in a statement posted to Twitter.
"I am appalled that, among other things, fellow citizens working in a campaign for president welcomed help from Russia including information that had been illegally obtained; that none of them acted to inform American law enforcement," he wrote.
“Mitt, in his 70s, still hopes he can run again.”
Yes, he does. I will not be surprised if he primaries Trump. That’s that dirty lowdown polecat’s style. He’s utterly despicable. I said before the election that my dead dog Daisy would have beaten him in an election and I was not proven wrong.
Romney is an incompetent a**ho** who shouldn’t be within 10 miles of any position of power. He’s duplicitous, without honor, and in my opinion, an embarrassment to his religion.
Indeed! Huckabee said exactly what had to be said, calling Romney out on his treachery, arrogance and dishonesty.
Romney his he RINO proclivities much more when he ran than now.
“Romney is an incompetent a**ho** who shouldnt be within 10 miles of any position of power. Hes duplicitous, without honor, and in my opinion, an embarrassment to his religion.”
I’ll second most of your sentiment ... but as far as the last point goes ... he stands well behind Harry Reid in that line ...
Right on, Mike. Love it.
This type of nonsense will fade if Trump can ever get into campaign mode and begin to talk about issues that people care about. If there are bad things happening in Utah, Trump needs to march into that state and let people know about them. Trump hasn’t even scratched the surface of the issues he could be raising.
Mittens is a jealous POS. He can’t get over that Trump was able to do what he couldn’t.
Hes not a man hes a petulant CHILD, and this IS exactly why he didnt win the American people would rather have had the WORST POTUS ever than this PHONY POS!!!!!
“Huckabee blasts Romney: ‘Makes me sick’ that you could have been president”
Precisely what I said, but didn’t post this morning when it was reported what Romney said. He’s just not worth the post.
he must be a cutthroat politician in Utah, he probly knows where the bodies are buried, hes scary
cuz he has a disturbed soul
One could expect nothing better from a cheap bought and paid for carpetbagger.
He couldn't have done any worse than Mittens.
They deserve each other.
Franklin Roosevelts rapid conversion from Constitutionalism to the doctrine of unlimited government is an oft-told story. But I am here concerned not so much by the abandonment of states rights by the national Democratic Party an event that occurred some years ago when that party was captured by the socialist ideologues in and about the labor movement as by the unmistakable tendency of the Republican Party to adopt the same course. [ ] Thus, the cornerstone of the Republic, our chief bulwark against the encroachment (on) individual freedom by Big Government, is fast disappearing under the piling sands of absolutism.Sure theyre gutless. They have no problem attacking conservatives, though. RINOs are leftists, and the warning thereof has gone out for well over half a century.
The Republican Party, to be sure, gives lip service to states rights. We often talk about returning to the states their rightful powers; the Administration has even gone so far as to sponsor a federal-state conference on the problem. But deeds are what count, and I regret to say that in actual practice, the Republican Party, like the Democratic Party, summons the coercive power of the federal government whenever national leaders conclude that the states are not performing satisfactorily.
