North of Fort Bliss ?
Having never served, I’m staying out of this one!
The sad part is that the company I used to work for probably sold the ceramic inserts for the armor vests to both the border patrol and the mexican army/federal police and, no doubt, to the cartels via corruption in the mexican gov’t.
Certainly not the first time.
“Why arent they dead you ask? Because you never leave a Marines job to an Army dog”
Ouch....beat me to it!
This is why Democrats want more Mexicans. They each have the 8a77s Republicans lack. Cross the border and when caught point your guns at the lawful side and then take credit for deescalating the situation while making the lawful side look like chumps.
I had to retract my post. Very angry. Very.
” We may as well share a border with Iran or Afghanistan. Mexico is just as much an enemy as those two hellholes.”
Yep!! I consider Mexico a rogue state myself. The drug lords rule the country. Because of what their “soldiers” did to our troops we should cut all ties with Mexico.
Escorts for drug runners.
It was 5 or 6 Mexican soldiers vs 2 Army guys.Bad odds with automatic weapons in close quarters.
Our guys must have been sleeping to allow enemies to get that close.
The question I’d ask is, “How come this army isn’t on the southern border of Mexico?”
Also, “What are OUR rules of engagement?”
The headline raised my blood pressure!
But this is a nothing-burger.
A fence should be where it’s supposed to be. hard to do with a wandering river.
A reasonable mistake handled professionally.
(Those Mex soldiers should be looked into for being cartel guards of course).
Well yeah THAT TOO!
The entire Mexican border in Texas is the Rio Grande. Sounds like we built the fence north of there let’s let our boys be south of the fence, but north of the river. I know this is going to be a shock to a lot of people, but people in Mexico are not as well educated as we are. They see a great big border fence and thank our side, and their side.
Anyway, one time a Mexican Army lieutenant in his Squad did right by me. That’s all the story I’m going to tell
I think that this will happen again and the outcome may not be so peaceful.
Those armed Mexican troops could have easily been drug cartel members impersonating military members. I hope this is not something they will start trying. Bad enough that they are kidnapping children and using them as shields to get illegal’s in to the USA.
President Trump needs to set up a hotline and a website with photos of every child brought into the US. When the actual parents of kidnapped children start calling Liberal heads will explode. Even though they claim there is no crisis at the border.
Yeah man, it sounds odd.
I no nothing of what appropriate conduct is in that situation.
All I hear in the movies is that a soldier never relinquishes his firearm.
But i’m not gonna go by what a movie says when we have military folks on this board.
They seem, however, to not be thrilled that the arms were surrendered.
Perhaps they were already made to understand that there was to be NO trouble if possible, if a situation like this happened.
I dunno.
That treasonous jorge busho crippled our border protecting military so that they've got to be more afraid of their bosses than the messycan psychos.
We use Soldiers as a pawns and photo OPs but we don't allow them to do what they train for.
Soldiers are for killing people and breaking other countries shit so swiftly and violently that they beg us to stop. Then we leave those images as a lesson to others that might think they have the juice to try something something.
