A 20-year-old college students Reddit post about the worst, most backwards day of her life is gaining traction online after she recounted how she was dropped on the side of the road by an Uber driver who disagreed with her decision to get an abortion

Puzzle me this.
Is there anything that is an absolute truth? A moral certitude?
Like maybe Abortion being murder?
The Uber driver was correct in doing what he did.
I agree. That was not the way to change the mind of a terrified young woman. Abandoning her mid-trip was unethical and counterproductive. The driver turned pro-lifers into her personal enemy, making it MORE likely that she would have the abortion, and providing propaganda for the pro-aborts.
While he was at it, he also did himself out of a job.
It’s not punishment.
It is called having no part of assisting in taking a life.
He would have to live with himself for the rest of his life.
This is so much male bovine used food.
Pro-lifers were already her personal enemy. Hence, her behavior.
“I let my dispatcher know that I didnt want any part of that, and let her out of the cab.”
Good on you!
So Jesus would shoot first and ask questions later, and make a judgment based on a headline, and one sentence?
What I can expect Jesus to do is to actually know where the passenger is headed, even if she lied about it, and seek to bring her to open up about the issue, and persuade her not to go thru with it, that was making a mistake which she would regret for the rest of her life, even so that it brought tears to the women's eyes.
But despite this effort, if we would not be persuaded, then I do really expect the Lord would refuse to be complicit in the murder that this fornicator was still intent on committing, and drop her off at a safe place where she could call for help, yet still wait to see if she wanted to go back home while she called for another Uber.
And if you care to read the story, then you can see that this is just what happened, and that driver did dropper her off at a small gas station and antiques shop on Route 38, yet waited 15 minutes there until she firmly said she did not want a drive back, being determined to kill her baby (and another Uber came 15 min later).
And then after committing premeditated murder, she got the driver banned from Uber and is seeking info on how to pursue further legal action!
The minute I got into the car, there was inexplicable tension. My driver didnt greet me or confirm my name or the destination; he was just silent. After a few minutes, he asked if we were going to a Planned Parenthood, she says. I was confused about why he would ask me this, considering there was nothing in the address I put in that would suggest it was a Planned Parenthood or even near one. I said, No, Im just going to a doctors appointment. A few more minutes of uncomfortable silence passed. Then he asked, Are... are we going to an abortion clinic? I was dumbfounded.
Montgomery admits that tears immediately came to her eyes, and she felt like her heart had stopped beating.
All the embarrassment and shame I had been feeling the last week or so rose to the surface, she says. I looked at him pleadingly, silently begging him to stop.
The driver, identified only by Montgomery as Scott, continued to press her for information before describing the procedure to her in detail.
I know its none of my business, but youre going to regret this for the rest of your life, he allegedly told her. Theres so much they dont tell you. Youre making a mistake.
Montgomery checked the map on her phone in the moments that she had service, as they were driving through a rural area just outside of Ithaca. The ride would still be another 35 minutes when the driver suddenly pulled over near a small gas station and antiques shop on Route 38 and told Montgomery that he couldnt take her any farther.
I took refuge on the porch of the antiques shop and called my parents, each three times. No answer. I called my boyfriend, who I had been texting throughout this whole ordeal, and he picked up on the first ring. Through my heaves and sobs I managed to tell him the situation, she recalls. As I called the three cab companies closest to me, my Uber driver waited 10 feet away, probably expecting me to go back to Ithaca with him. After about 15 minutes, he asked me once more if I wanted him to drive me back. Firmly, I said no thank you. He drove away, and about 15 minutes later a cab came. - https://www.yahoo.com/lifestyle/uber-driver-wouldnt-take-woman-abortion-clinic-184503566.html
She admits that her ride home was also uncomfortable, but she didnt feel unsafe as she had during the Uber ride prior.
I am sure the comfort of the murdered infant was not in view.
he acted like an idiot....If he made himself feel better, good for him. But he was wrong.
Rather YOU are the one who is wrong, even if your hasty, knee-jerk mind-reading condemnation of the hero makes you feel better, and even to invoking Christ in support of your unrighteous self-righteous libel!
The paradox here is that she is up in arms about about being left out of a vehicle in a safe environment, yet she was essentially kicking a living infant, her own flesh and blood no less, out of her "vehicle" to die! And then she punishes the one who trued to save her and the infant. Lord have mercy.
Im not sure I even believe this story.
The fornicating determined murderer succeeded in getting her unwanted passenger out of her vehicle, to die, however, she is very upset about about being left out of a vehicle into a safe environment by a driver, and has seen to it that he also is punished, as was the infant that he tried to save.
“Read my post fully next time.”
Read the article next time before you attack a pro-life man standing up for his convictions.
And I read both. You: “He would tried to convince her on the way to wherever she was going to not have one.”
Except that is exactly what he did. IF you read the article, you would have known it too.
“Didn’t he come to be AMONG the sinners?”
No, He did not. I know the Bible very well, and your assertion is supported nowhere in it.
A quick Google search of “list of things jesus came to do” will provide you literally dozens of things the Bible specifically says Jesus came to do. These are things like “to seek and save that which were lost” and “to destroy the works of the Devil.”
The closest thing to what you are asserting is when Jesus chose 12 apostles “that they might be with Him.” It wasn’t so He could be with them. There is a big difference. Jesus didn’t come here to enjoy our company. He came for our benefit.
But this liberal Christian theology is more dangerous than you probably realize. At least you are acknowledging the Savior and this important season.
So, sorry if I’m coming on so strong it feels like a blast from a megaphone, but there are some things that must be said. If someone doesn’t say them then people will literally go into the fires of Hell for it.
There is certainly a place for compassionate conservatism toward those who’ve had abortions and even those who have been in that “business”.
But Christ gave those who were pridefully and defiantly opposing Him the holy Laws of God. He warned them of judgment. He extended grace to the humble.
The woman who murdered her baby in this article has no humility, just arrogant attacks on those who do not agree with her “choice” to murder.
“You definitely sound like you might be one of the folks with the rock in his hand.”
Well, I’m not the one throwing rocks at the driver who stood up for his convictions. Maybe he deserves a little mercy and compassion during this Easter weekend. Maybe some unborn babies need some also.
“dp0622 is right to call this into question. This is a conservative board and therefore we are dedicated to finding the truth.”
He’s not “calling it into question” he’s jumping to conclusions without lifting a finger for “finding the truth,” just as you are.
Here’s what he said: “Unless he was TAKING her to the clinic, then no he acted like an idiot.”
It’s not hard to click a link and read:
“Montgomery faced more discomfort, however, when she turned to Uber for a ride to a doctors appointment on March 21, where she was going for a non-surgical medical abortion by herself.”
So there is no IF and wondering needed. The driver was being asked to drive her to an abortion clinic to have an abortion. No need to speculate and call him an “idiot”.
And if you took the time in your quest at “finding the truth” you could have discovered this for yourself rather than wasting time posting something and exposing your ignorance and laziness in not bothering to read.
Read past the headlines. “Side of the road” means at an antiques shop, not some dangerous place where she might get run over.
Nor does leaving her on the “side of the road” mean she was stranded, as the driver also offered to drive her back home: “After about 15 minutes, he asked me once more if I wanted him to drive me back.”
The truth is that abortion is murder. This site is for those who agree. If you disagree there are plenty of sites where you can find an echo chamber in which your self-deception will be reinforced.
I don’t particularly appreciate having to defend this truth on a conservative, pro-life forum. It should go without saying.
If you are going to ATTACK someone for having the courage to stand up for their pro-life beliefs on this forum, at least have the common sense to do a little homework to know what you’re talking about.
Here’s the truth you’re searching for: A young woman murdered her baby after the father (her boyfriend) failed to step up (at least according to her version of the story), and then she got angry because the person she paid to drive her to this murder-for-hire event disagreed and did not want to be part of it. So she then took the time and effort to get him fired. Then she posted this story on social media.
And now we’ve got supposed conservatives on a pro-life forum taking the side of this murdering Jezebel who not only kills her own bastard child but goes out of her way to get someone fired for telling her she is wrong and refusing to be part of it. This is why abortion is not only still legal in this nation but supported with billions of tax dollars. Can’t even get conservatives to agree on the basics of right and wrong.
You’d better do some soul searching before judgment day on how God views siding with this murderer over someone who was fired for his Biblical convictions not to take part in it.
This man did what the Bible says to do:
Ezekiel 3:18
When I say to the wicked, ‘You shall surely die,” and you give him no warning, nor speak to warn the wicked from his wicked way, to save his life, that same wicked man shall die in his iniquity; but his blood I will require at your hand.
Pres. Trump recently gave the medal of freedom to Tiger Woods. How much more worthy is this driver.
I took refuge on the porch of the antiques shop and called my parents, each three times. No answer. I called my boyfriend, who I had been texting throughout this whole ordeal, and he picked up on the first ring.
What a creep of a *boyfriend*/impregnator.....doesn’t even accompany her....has her go by herself to complete the murder of their child??? (I take it the child is/was his.) Sad, on every level.
He saved a life.
Excellent response. Glad to see I’m not all alone in my outrage over the soft, go-along-to-get-along philosophy toward murdering babies being posted on a pro-life site.

And that says it all.
I doubt most of her story.
I can't fathom that in Ithaca, of all places, she couldn't find an abortion clinic.
She's making a martyr of herself by posting this all over the internet after whining about how she didn't want to burden others with her personal choices.
She's a liar and looking for a name and a cash hand out.
NO, you are wrong just as your ignorant shoot-first accuser is. See post 66 by the grace of God by one who actually read the article. The driver did NOT abandoning her mid-trip, but after trying to persuade her not to go thru with her murderous plan, such as by saying, I know its none of my business, but youre going to regret this for the rest of your life," he pulled over near a small gas station and antiques shop on Route 38 and told Montgomery that he couldnt take her any farther...As I called the three cab companies closest to me, my Uber driver waited 10 feet away, probably expecting me to go back to Ithaca with him. While he was at it, he also did himself out of a job.
Better is little with the fear of the Lord than great treasure and trouble therewith. (Proverbs 15:16)
Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake. (Matthew 5:11)
It is sad that you two are among those who did the latter.
She’s not nearly as pained as her almost child will be.
Guess she didn’t know how babies are made - and how to prevent that. Forgot, pub(l)ic skooolz coupled with Facebook/Twitter and shazam, we have a bimbo.
There is a clinic in Ithaca that provides abortions up to a certain date. If the pregnancy has progressed past that date, the clinic in Ithaca refers the patient elsewhere.
Perhaps the COMPLETE opposite of what Jesus would do.
Our Lord would NOT assist in murdering a innocent baby!
Thank God for this drivers brave decision .
