Twitter exploded throughout Attorney General William Barr's press conference ahead of the release of special counsel Robert Mueller's report, with strong but varying reactions from members of the media.
Barr offered a staunch defense of President Trump during the press conference, where he previewed the report's findings and explained why they led him to conclude that Trump had not obstructed justice.
Barr called the report a vindication of Trump over the allegations of collusion with Russian officials to influence the 2016 election.
All of the top-trending hashtags on Twitter surrounded the Barr press conference and Mueller report on Thursday morning, with Barr's comments and media reaction to them dominating.
The redacted Mueller report will be sent to Congress by CD-ROM at 11 a.m. Thursday.

The meltdown is because the democrats and their media enablers have spend 2 years lying to the people and now it’s all crashing down on them.
If Jeff Sessions had not recused himself and if Mueller had not been appointed, the last two years would have been a complete disaster and most likely Trump would be impeached. The brilliance of Session’s strategy is starting to become clear so some who have the ability to think independently, and more will see the light as events unfold. The same is true about the role Rod Rosenstein has played.
Without Sessions, Rosenstein, and Mueller, today would not be happening, President Trump would be struggling to stay in office if he hadn’t been forced to resign, and things would be much worse in the US and around the world.

If Sessions had not recused himself, this would have died in 2017 without all the waste and all the associated garbage.

As Barr stated although Trump was vocal and disappointed that this investigation was dragging on and hampering him getting his new administration up and running he at no time withheld documents nor barred witnesses to testify nor invoked Exec Privilege. The Redacted report was shared w/ the White House prior to publication as a final opportunity to invoke Exec Privilege and they did not.
So he complained but did not hinder and that is obstruction is some people’s eyes.

If the Mueller probe had ended in a few months, Mueller wouldn’t need defending either. After two years Mueller needs defending because he screwed the pooch and came up empty.
