Kurdish fighters have been used by the US to ostensibly defeat the remaining Islamic State holdouts in eastern Syria. But what is emerging is not a final defeat of the terrorists, more a redeployment to further destabilize the Arab country.
Potentially, the Kurds could wind up not with the regional autonomy they desire, but as part of a rebranded American dirty war army whose ranks include the very terrorist the Kurdish militias have been successfully battling against.

Some of the Middle East is Tribal. North Syria is NOT.
The N. Syrian Kurds are smart.
They are not doing our dirty work. The coalition supported them to eliminate ISIS. The world benefits from that. The region benefits more from that.
Yes, see my post #19.
It supports directly what you just stated.
I am at fault for making you do this research instead of doing my own source check before posting.
I appreciate your patience. I'll try to avoid this in the future.
No apology necessary. I did no research, simply looked at what was on the site.
I don’t claim to be a Middle East analyst, authority or expert. Simply have followed these issues a long time and know people actually on the ground there. So my views are only slightly shaped by news coverage of the region (especially from MSM news sources, who are always crazy).
There are a few reliable news sources in the Region. But even those have authors who are trapped in countries that only emit propaganda, like Turkey.
I appreciate a good honest discussion. Thanks.

Bump!
There are very few things Trump could do to shake my loyalty and screwing with Yemen is not even on the list.
Yes. Great minds think alike.
My guess is that the Kermlin and Erdogan are unsure of U.S. staying power with the Kurds in Syria (a wonder that Trump has encouraged with premature announcements of our eminent departures), and will do all they can to encourage our departure and so disillusionment among the Kurds.
I think Erdogan and Putin have already decided how they want to jointly control (divide) northern Syria, if the U.S. would just get out of the way.
Meanwhile the Kurds have only their own existential existence that they care about, and rightly they should as no one else in the whole region cares if the Kurds exist or not, have a place of their own or not.
This is a rehashed hate-America report and is largely nonsense.
This site is pretty good:
Yes. totally agree. And the world owes the Kurds and their allies a debt for ending ISIS in N. Syria. (except for where Erdogan the Islamist planted them in Efrin (Afrin), and where the Turk FSA controls. Given a little support, that will be liberated too.
Thanks. Good to know Russia has lost influence with PKK.
(Looking at my replies here, I’m going back to not getting on FR after midnight...)
hee hee hee
I understand that.
