Kurdish fighters have been used by the US to ostensibly defeat the remaining Islamic State holdouts in eastern Syria. But what is emerging is not a final defeat of the terrorists, more a redeployment to further destabilize the Arab country.
Potentially, the Kurds could wind up not with the regional autonomy they desire, but as part of a rebranded American dirty war army whose ranks include the very terrorist the Kurdish militias have been successfully battling against.

Trump vetoed Congress’s bid to stop US participation in the war in Yemen today.
New boss, same as the old boss (except for Iran). What a disappointment.
So, we will keep supplying the Saudis with weapons. Steal Syria’s oilfields. Go to war with Venezuela, and Iran. Fry Assange.
Sounds more like the agenda the other Presidential candidate wanted than the one I voted for.
“Steal Syrias oilfields. Go to war with Venezuela, and Iran. Fry Assange.”
There’s plenty to ding Trump on without resorting to making stuff up. If you seek to persuade anyone here, start with a factual basis.
Username checks out.
Sock, put down the crack pipe.
Fake news straight from the Kremlin.
Hilarious Kremlin report.
The Kremlin does support the Kurds anti-Afrin efforts though.
(While thsy support Turkey there.)
Thanks for the article’s slant. I know very little on this struggle.
Thanks imardmd1.
The Kurd’s PKK, designated as a terrorist org by most, is supported by Russia.
Nothing’s simple tn the Middle east...
I guess they must have various parties whose interests don’t always mesh, like ours. If it is truly democratie republic, that is. Basic principle.
The Saudis can buy weapons from the Russians, Chinese, French, etc. Far better they buy them from us. Yemen is a sh*thole. North Yemen used to be communist. The Iranians are using the Yemenis as proxies against the Saudis.
The Saudis have the largest reserves of exportable oil in the world. It is vital to the global economy. We dont need to undermine the Saudi Royal family and wind up with another Iran.
Well... the structure of ME politics is tribal.
Tribal governance is different, from Feudal and Constitutional (American) governance.
The nxet “step up” from Tribal governance is Feudal, and then the next step up is Constitutional.
ME affairs are conducted in a system two systems back from the US.
It can be very confusing to us.
bwaaahahahhahahhahhaha hogwash, like the rest of the article
Takes time to clean up decades of messes and I trust President Trump to work us in the right direction more than the rest of the politicians who never have a clear reason for anything they do...Best President Ever....except for those who need something to be concerned about....
Interesting article...if the Kurds were smart they’d stop doing Washington’s dirty work in Syria.
Fake News:
https://www.politico.com/magazine/story/2017/06/12/how-russia-targets-the-us-military-215247
“A State Department expert in Russian influence campaigns who was not authorized to speak on the record said he had taken note of Veterans Todays partnership with New Eastern Outlook and that Southfront appears to be a Russian front that deliberately obscures its origins. The expert also described the Strategic Culture Foundation as a part of the Kremlins influence apparatus and noted that Russia has long sought to amplify the voices of Western conspiracy theorists.”
Trying to sow discord between the Kurds and the U.S.
credibility zero.
If you go to HOME on the source’s header here is the nonsense you find:
Wayne MADSEN 17.04.2019 WORLD / Americas
Bannons International Neo-Nazi Movement

Bannon is NOT a NAZI and Madsen is a nutcase.
Russia is not on the Good Boy list with any of the Kurds since Efrin (Afrin). Not with the PKK or the North Syrian Kurd groups we are allied with.
But you are right about what you said about the Middle East, “Nothing is simple in the Middle East”
