President Donald Trump ordered thousands of additional American troops to the southwest border over the next two months, according to a document drafted last week by Defense Department officials and obtained by Newsweek. Officials in U.S. Army North, the unit overseeing the border mission, drafted the deployment orders in anticipation of a new request from Homeland Security to aid U.S. Customs and Border Protection in the ongoing joint agency border mission. The document further demonstrated President Trump’s increasing urgency to address a crisis at the southern border, with the orders being drafted days after Homeland Security Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen resigned on April 7.

Obama judges can do a lot of mischief, but they are powerless to stop troop deployment.
Use Letters of Marque and Reprisal and give us free reign to kill all invaders without penalty.
no american army will be ordered to fire on hundreds of unarmed people at the border. must be done with less-than lethal force. The fact that we have rolled out only a few miles of wire means we have wasted 2 years.

We will never see written orders that specific.
Watch for an incident where US troops are fired upon by Cartel forces and return lethal fire - across the border. Then we will know what Rules-of-Engagement have been ordered.
Also watch for expansion of the detention camps while all the Democrats are distracted with whining about how illegals should not be bussed to their "sanctuary cities".

No judge has the power to stop the CIC from deploying troops anywhere he damn well pleases.
These freaks can issue injunction after injunction and WH staff is perfectly free to use them as bird cage liners. They’re too rough to make good TP.
And these are the people who are always caterwauling about saving trees.
Some black-robed tyrant believed he had the power to stop Trump’s tranny ban.
But he can stop them from sending illegals back over the border, or denying them "asylum", or any number of other maddening and ridiculous things. Moreover, our troops are not going to be laying land mines or firing on the Illegal Invaders. Trump and our military would be international pariahs and Trump would be charged and convicted in the Hague as a war criminal.
I am not saying I disagree with sending more troops to the borders. California and Arizona need at least 50,000 there yesterday. Our country is being invaded.

At least until we are in an actual war. The troops are not going to be laying land mines or firing on the invaders, so what will they be doing? Trying to shore up the few miles of existing fence and the concertina wire barriers, I imagine.
