Pro-crime policies work. For criminals and their enablers.
Entire cities and areas become unlivable wastelands where only criminals and welfare recipients thrive, and the only businesses are illegal or government funded. Here's what's coming to Dallas County courtesy of Dallas County District Attorney John Creuzo.
Dallas County's new district attorney announced his office will no longer prosecute "theft of necessary items" up to $750.
Finally theft has been legalized for someone other than the government.
The announcement drew an immediate reaction from small business owners who are worried that word of the policy will encourage shoplifting.

I completely understand.
When I saw the “youths” in France burning cars I was thinking pretty much the same thing.
does this include tax?
very confusing for the thiefs
[ $749.99? ]
That was my number, too.
Now that this has turned loose, prices will rise, stores will close and places will become a “desert”. Wonderful policy, Dallas!
And no one will ever put a business in high-crime areas again. It will not be worth the risk because this will become the new normal in those areas.
“Dallas County DA Won’t Prosecute If You Steal Under $750”
Piker. You skate if it’s $1,000 or less in Cook County, IL.
The process costs more then 750. Id make it under 10,000, but fine triple what was stolen.
Austin did seem very nice (in some areas) when I was flown there to interview in the late 1990’s. I had no idea of the hard-left ideology there.
There was also the abandoned Applebee’s at the abandoned shopping mall not too far from my hotel (I was at the Baymont).
I remember being shocked at the abandoned place at the time.
So poverty shouldn’t be criminalized(it, of itself is NOT!). I suppose trespassing should be all okee dokee then too. You know, like at the border. Oh, it already (apparently) is. Who elects these fidiots? Never mind.
Welcome to South Africa.
Is that list, wholesale, or replacement value?
Policies like this only serve to further victimize the poor. They are truly the ones that suffer from these “victimless” crimes.
When you are poor, you live in less safe neighborhoods, the front line of these crimes.
We have that beat in California.
You get to steal $900 here.
Another Soros backed DA just as in Houston.
Said his goal is to end mass incaraceration.
Laws against theft and murder are racist and supress the Democrat vote.
This will result in anarchy. There’s no way it can’t.
So, if I do not pay $750 in local taxes they will not prosecute me?
[When you are poor, you live in less safe neighborhoods, the front line of these crimes.]
Yep. You find out a lot about people, too.
Per incident? I'm packing as I type. If I could subsidize my food budget by even $750 a month, I could afford better everything.
Wait til a flash mob shows up at one of the Walmarts and cleans out all their flat panel TVs with a price tag lower than $750.
