Were fully anticipating that the [inspector generals] report will come out as Attorney General Barr said in the next four to six weeks, and I think its highly likely that well see criminal referrals coming from them that will correspond with what Chairman [Devin] Nunes has already put forth, Meadows said in an interview on Foxs Sunday Morning Futures.

It won't do much if the DOJ doesn't follow through.
If I see the word “referral” one more time...
Remind me of Dark Helmet in “Spaceballs”
“Why are you always preparing. Just do it!”
or something like that :)
The Department of Justice uses "criminal referrals" as toilet paper, if they inconvenience Democrats.
I remember the criminal referrals that came out of the Kavanaugh hearings.
Down the memory hole they went.
Barr is not Sessions. From what I know about the man and from what I have seen of him thus far, he is a by the book law and order hard a$$.
If there’s a bonafide criminal case to be made I have little doubt he’s prepared to prosecute.
He’s been around the deep state, he knows the deep state but I don’t believe he’s a part of the deep state.
Time only will tell but I think you may be pleasantly surprised with this guy.
Then there should be predawn raids by swat teams with amphibious vehicles in order to terrorize wife and families with CNN cameras blazing, right?
“Trust us, we’ll get around to charging the coup plotters. Later... manana.”
Yep
For a good chuckle:
Comey: “I’ve Never Thought” Of Electronic Surveillance As Spying
Posted By Ian Schwartz
On Date April 11, 2019
Former FBI Director James Comey said Thursday he never believed that electronic surveillance as “spying.”
I hope & pray he and his fam have the best security detail watching over him.
And that he remains unflappable.
An important question is whether Sessions is merely incompetent or whether he was an active part of the conspiracy to stage a coup d’eat.
We shall see.
I wonder where that lard a$$ Stefan Halper is hiding?
He is an American citizen and must be interviewed
under oath...that is if he can be found.
Im certain he is on the run.
Being that Sessions did his level best to help Trump get elected, I believe it’s the former. I think he neither had the temperament for the job nor the comprehension of how to do it properly.
Bottom line, he was just way in over his head.
I agree with you.
Yes, I think you’re right: he was in WAY over his head. He evidently could not comprehend the magnitude of what he was dealing with—or even the nature of the situation.
It’s bull shit. Referrals to who? Who controls them? Get something done already for Christ’s sake. It’s like they go into a black hole or something.
SOP in investigations in the IG, if you develop good evidence of criminal violations, you get an AUSA in tow and start working a criminal case with them maybe pulling in some agents from useful agencies, like FBI or IRS if applicable or logical (Special Agents in OIG investigative offices are 1811 criminal investigators, just like FBI, IRS CID etc.). So if you find a crime, you start working it right away for a lot of reasons, statute of limitations, preservation of evidence, the availability of witnesses etc. I’ve never seen an IG investigative office wait until an entire report is pulled together and then have “criminal referrals” made. DOJ OIG used to work cases with us all the time, they didn’t refer them anywhere else if it had to do with their people. Waiting for a report and then making referrals (to where?) smacks of political theater straight up and doesn’t make good sense from a criminal investigation standpoint.
Rare move by Congress could start another Clinton investigationMaybe I missed the trial of HRC? Did somebody else catch it? What happened?
July 11, 2016Republicans in the House of Representatives asked the Justice Department to investigate whether Clinton had lied to Congress.
Rep. Jason Chaffetz, R-Utah, the chairman of the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee, and Bob Goodlatte, R-Va., the House Judiciary Committee chairman, sent a rare criminal referral Monday to the Justice Department asking investigators to review Clintons sworn testimony that she didnt jeopardize government secrets by setting up her own personal server while she was secretary of state.
Chaffetz and Goodlatte said they were asking for an inquiry as a result of testimony by FBI Director James Comey that he had investigated the email matter but had not looked into whether Clinton had lied to Congress.
The evidence collected by the FBI during its investigation of Secretary Clintons use of a personal email system appears to directly contradict several aspects of her sworn testimony, the chairmen wrote Channing D. Phillips, the U.S. attorney in Washington. In light of those contradictions, the department should investigate and determine whether to prosecute Secretary Clinton for violating statutes that prohibit perjury and false statements to Congress.
The chairmen also requested the FBIs investigative file for its review of Clintons misuse of an email server.
Separately, more than 200 House Republicans sent a letter to Comey asking for more information on the decision not to charge Clinton or her aides.
heh heh
There’s nothing official about such referrals, and the DOJ isn’t required to respond to them at all.
Does anyone know of a Congressional referral that resulted in an indictment?
Hes been around the deep state, he knows the deep state but I dont believe hes a part of the deep state.

Also, no vaguely damning stories have surfaced. No innuendo, aside from ‘Trump’s toady”. They have nothing on him and from his barely concealed contempt for the Dem inquisitors, he knows all he needs to know about _them_.
