President Trump and a California mayor traded barbs over Twitter on Saturday, prompted by the president's repeated threats to release detained immigrants into “sanctuary cities.”
The exchange between Trump and Oakland Mayor Libby Schaaf also appeared triggered, at least in part, by recent New York Times articles about the president's immigration policies.
"So interesting to see the Mayor of Oakland and other Sanctuary Cities NOT WANT our currently 'detained immigrants' after release due to the ridiculous court ordered 20 day rule," Trump tweeted.
Schaaf fired back, saying: “It’s time to stop fanning hate and division @realDonaldTrump - I’ve been consistent and clear: #Oakland welcomes all, no matter where you came from or how you got here.”
Trump fired off another tweet soon after: "Just out: The USA has the absolute legal right to have apprehended illegal immigrants transferred to Sanctuary Cities. We hereby demand that they be taken care of at the highest level, especially by the State of California, which is well known or [sic] its poor management & high taxes!"

I think if you just dumped 10,000 illegals in one single month into Oakland, it’d create a snowball effect, and trigger hostilities among the permanent residents. But imagine doing that 10,000 situation in a dozen west coast cities. The Democrats would be unable to convey any resolution or repair to community activities.
Negative. Dump 25K each into the four major West Coast cities. Some of them have boasted of being able to handle 10K and even invited that many there in the past.

The media here in NJ won’t even describe the legal status of the VICTIM in that case, leading me to believe she was also illegal - arrived a couple of years ago from Peru, and worked as a nanny. I’ve posted on countless threads that these people are trafficked here to populate places abandoned by Americans, and whole areas are filled with them.
IF she was illegal, then she wasn’t contributing for police protection anyway.

send 1000 to each city and have a full media welcome celebration . We know there are not apartments, but there are hotel , motels. Tent cities? Sanctuary-villes?
When illegal immigrants are caught why aren’t they given state choice assignments. They must remain in their choice state until their court date or be deported.

The mayors and city councilmen of the “sanctuary cities” should be arrested by federal marshals and taken to federal detention centers for breaking federal law.
This is the tact I would like to see taken by the president.
I love the smell of liberal heads exploding in the morning!
A better question: Why aren’t we putting ankle or wrist monitors on every illegal we’re doing catch and release on?
