SAN DIEGO (AP) — The Latest on a court ruling that would have prevented the Trump administration from returning asylum seekers to Mexico to await court hearings (all times local):

A federal appeals court has temporarily blocked a judge’s order that would have stopped the Trump administration from returning asylum seekers to Mexico.
The 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals issued a temporary stay Friday.
A three-judge panel set a Tuesday deadline for civil liberties groups to submit arguments why the order blocking the Trump administration should take effect. It set a Wednesday deadline for the government to argue why the policy should remain in place.

The 9th Circuit Court of Appeals decided to temporarily block a lower court's decision that would've stopped the Trump administration's policy to send asylum seekers to Mexico, the AP reports.
The backdrop: On Monday, Judge Richard Seeborg's ruling paused the change to the American asylum system, saying the policy does not comply with federal law. The appeals court will hear the arguments from the government and civil groups next week. Immigration officials have halted the practice of sending asylum seekers to Mexico until the appeals court reaches a decision, per the AP. About 1,300 people have been returned to Mexico under this program.

That the Ninth Circuit would give President Trump even a temporary victory is astounding. Perhaps it just didn’t want to be humiliated again when SCOTUS would have reversed the Ninth’s denial and granted a stay.
Trump has talked about that. It’s a misinterpretation of the 14th amendment invented by commiepukes.

The 9th does have a few very new conservative justices. Not sure if they’re involved in this case’s 3 judge panel, but their reign of terror over the US judicial system is coming to an end.
Well as I’ve seen with the 2nd amendment, you don’t need the very difficult path of repealing it to alter it.

Slowly but surely the Trump judicial appointments are changing the 9th Circuit. There are still more vacancies to fill. Paging Mitch.
I am reminded that the courts ruled that the New York Times had not violated the law with publishing Daniel Ellsworth's leaking of the Pentagon Papers, that the leaker bore any legal responsibility for making public any classified information.
The court ruled the information published was in the public interest. Of course that case involved the Democraps exposing the Nixon Admin. Here the tables are turned 180°. Do we have a two-tiered system of Justice or an equal system of justice?
As I keep reminding, international law states that migrants seeking asylum must request it from the first country they enter. POTUS could stand on that principle while appealing these 9th Circus legal perversions to SCOTUS. BY ignoring the district courts or circuit courts, that forces the opposition to try to expedite these ridiculous rulings to SCOTUS.
