UK: Muslim teacher at London Catholic school found to be unable to read or write
Apparently not referring him for the job, and not hiring him, would have been “Islamophobic.”
“Teacher at Catholic London secondary school is suspended after it’s discovered he ‘CAN’T READ or write,'” Daily Mail, April 8, 2019:
Struggling to read and write was not enough to stop a teacher getting a job at a top secondary school.
Faisal Ahmed was given the green light by elite teacher training program TeachFirst despite having ‘extreme difficulty with handwriting’, problems with reading and understanding ‘written tests’.
Just days into his new job at St Thomas More Catholic school in leafy Wood Green, north London, he was summoned by the headmaster and suspended, reported The Sun.
Teach First recruits top graduates who are parachuted into schools while they study for a teaching qualification.
Set up in 2002, its two-year leadership development programme provides training in school while they study for a postgraduate diploma in education and leadership qualification.
The charity aims to recruit people who can inspire young people from disadvantaged backgrounds to achieve their potential….
Mr Ahmed suffers from dyspraxia, a condition that affects co-ordination, and he told the headmaster Mark Rowland that he was unable to write for ‘more than a couple of minutes’ as his condition caused him too much pain….
The scandal emerged when Mr Ahmed, who is in his 30s, sued the school for constructive dismissal and disability discrimination after he quit in anger….
Ex-City worker Mr Ahmed was going to teach vital GCSE and A-Level lessons to teenagers.
Teach First admitted that they did not inform the school of Mr Ahmed’s condition.
So, how could they hire him in the first place?

We have something similar here in L.A., they’re called LA UNIFIED SCHOOL TEACHERS..

I'd like to give Donkey fornicator Ahmed too much pain in his posterior.
I think this story tells us much about the problems with the educational system today. Instead of focusing on hiring the most capable, the very brightest we can find, and being entirely color blind, we only look at color and hire accordingly. We do our young, especially disadvantaged minority children, by hiring teachers based on the color of skin and closing eyes to competence.
How racist is that? Illiterate Muslims have just as much to teach us as anyone
And their experience goes far beyond our white, cisgender world. They know all about washing their feet, checking if girls are really virgins, and how to squeeze the local welfare system for maximum benefits.

Have no fear Faisal. You far exceed the minimum requirements for a teaching position in Chicago public schools. The focus is on not teaching the kids to read and write, so you’re a perfect fit.

99.8% of the time the phrase ‘moslem scholar’ strikes me as oxymoronic.
So they do all they can to get him his entitlement, so this utterly corrupt individual demands even more accommodations
