I think this story tells us much about the problems with the educational system today. Instead of focusing on hiring the most capable, the very brightest we can find, and being entirely color blind, we only look at color and hire accordingly. We do our young, especially disadvantaged minority children, by hiring teachers based on the color of skin and closing eyes to competence.
