In the preface, he makes it clear that he is “no longer directly responsible” for the church and that he consulted Pope Francis before resolving to make the document public.
Nevertheless, Benedict’s “The Church and the Scandal of Sexual Abuse” has the unmistakable ring of a papal document. You might even call it a post-retirement encyclical.

But Pope (I'll still call him 'Pope') Benedict offers a little signal of hope.
I wish he would write and say so much more! I am frankly amazed he could get this new publication past his "handlers." May the Holy Spirit and all the blessed angels protect him!
Anyone who buys the pederasty of queers in the Church as pedophilia while the same media telling that lie ignore or call normal the exact same pederasty nearly all queers in every other part of society engage in has already lost their ability to understand what's been going on in a well organized manner since the sixties.

I wonder what the world shattering egregious event was in the sixties, given that the DSM did not de-pathologize homosexuality until 1973.
If it was de-pathologized in 1973, that means that there was a movement towards de-pathologizing it previously. It isn’t as if in 1972 every single person responsible for the DSM thought that homosexuality was pathological, and then some new discovery made everyone change their minds.
Illinois legalized same-sex sodomy in 1962.
While the repeal of the laws was gradual, I think it safe to say that before laws are repealed there is usually a long period of turning a blind eye to the practice while people consider what is done. Thus if something becomes official in 1973, it probably does have roots in the 1960’s.
Many seminaries following Vatican II became playgrounds for Avant Garde shrinks, so I think that while the roots ultimately run deeper than the 1960’s, the problem certainly greatly expanded during that time.
Well, the major thing that happened in the 60s was Vatican II, the fallout from which (since VII made it clear that everything was up for grabs) definitely contributed to what is called in Europe the “Revolution of ‘68.”
You may not remember, but there were student riots all over Europe, particularly in France, where they demanded the imposition of Socialism, the end to laws governing sexual behavior, the free use of drugs, and a host of other things (such as unrestricted abortion) that are still demands of the left. It is just that now these demands have been largely accepted and have become the dominant position in the West, either actively (in the case of the left) or passively (in the case of conservatives who accept it as just how things are).
We had a taste of this with the leftist riots at the Democratic National Convention in Chicago in 1968, reminding us that even the Democrats were considered “conservative” by the leftist radicals of the time. But now all of the ideas of the Abie Hoffman crowd have been mainstreamed.

If you read the text you’ll find that he is, in fact, blaming the flawed implementation and interpretation of the Vatican II reforms. As for pedophilia being normalized, I think he’s referring to the North American Man Boy Love Association (NAMBLA) of which some clergy were actually acknowledged members.
