BUMP!!!!!!!!!!!!
This is going in the wrong direction!
In the U.S., the goal is always to collect more money without an option.
Can I opt out of paying for public schools if I will never use them? Can I opt out of paying for social security and not collect the benefit? No. Bernie wants to force me and everyone to pay for a crappy government health provider program, without alternative healthcare options. He even wants us all to pay for everyone’s crappy university entitlement. So why should government employees get the option not to pay the bosses?
Horrible that this tyranny of the minority was allowed to continue for so long.
Just wait until Nancy hears about this ,LOL
We’ll see how many “voluntary members” remain now that opting out is a choice.
I’m surprised it’s this much. I figured some brave individuals would opt out, then lose their jobs as a signal to the other union workers to think twice about doing the same.
WHy are 5800 still paying?
There are situations where workers need the union for legal protection, in potentially dangerous or lawsuit possibility situations. Ex: when I was substituting, union legal representation was an optional expense. It would’ve been foolish not to have it.
Hahaha! Winning! Government “workers” should not be allowed to unionize. I believe it was started by Executive Order...end it that way.
Winning! More please.

This is devastating to them - so much win.
Voluntary is fine, but in Wisconsin, after Act 1 gave teachers the option of belonging to the union or not, over 2/3 of the opted not to. That’s what should come next.
Praise God (YHVH)! _public_unions_ most be completely terminated. Public servants, serve the people; they should _never_ be unionized. Like it or get a real job.
The courts should force the unions to return the money paid, with interest.
Thank you Bruce Rauner
One of the few Illinois Governors that didn’t land in jail also landed a devastating blow against public sector unions.

Good news...Unions more corrupt than the Mafia...
How about a class action lawsuit to get back all of their previous dues that they were forced to pay?
In Salem, Oregon, SEIU is selling their headquarters. Can no longer afford it.
