President Trump moved to replace the top ranks of the Department of Homeland Security on Monday, a day after forcing the resignation of its secretary, Kirstjen Nielsen, as he accelerated a purge of the nations immigration and security leadership.
The White House announced the departure of Randolph D. Alles, the director of the Secret Service, who had fallen out of favor with the president even before a security breach at his Mar-a-Lago club that the agency effectively blamed on Mr. Trumps employees.
Government officials, who asked not to be identified discussing personnel changes before they were announced, said at least two more top department figures were expected to leave soon as well: L. Francis Cissna, the head of United States Citizenship and Immigration Services, and John Mitnick, the departments general counsel and a senior member of Ms. Nielsens leadership team.

Great move, Mr. President.
Though I can’t escape the fact that if Trump had done a better job of picking his cabinet initially we’d be far further down the road to MAGA.
Having people like Nielsen and Jeffy Sessions in key places did enormous damage to the agenda.
I feel “sorry” that she wasn’t fired sooner. What an incompetent (at best) and a seditious swamp dweller (more likely). Good riddance. All people who do not follow their boss’ directives should be fired immediately.
I didn’t applaud it then. I hated it from the start.
