Democratic presidential candidate Pete Buttigieg said Sunday that capitalism is a potential threat to democracy, even in the United States.
"America is a capitalist society but it has to be a democratic capitalism. That is really important and it is slipping away from us. When capitalism comes into tension with democracy, which is more important?" the South Bend, Ind., mayor said on NBC's "Meet the Press."
"I believe democracy is more important. When you have capitalism capturing democracy, where you have the kind of regulatory capture where powerful corporations can arrange the rules for their benefit, that's not real capitalism," he added.
Buttigieg used Russia as an example of what happens when capitalism gets out of control. "It turns into crony capitalism and that turns into oligarchy," he said.
Buttigieg argued that his most voters don't want this version of capitalism, noting he received support from people who must have also voted for President Trump based on the vote totals in Indiana.
Buttigieg has roughly 2.3% support, putting him in seventh place among a crowded field of candidates vying for the 2020 Democratic presidential nomination, according to RealClearPolitics' average of polls.

Democracy is threat to the Republic.
The founders understood that.
They understood the value of excluding those born with foreign nationality from being President as well.

Communism is a threat to freedom.
Freedom of speech.
Freedom to worship God.
Freedom from want.
Freedom from fear.

I said this some months back, and boy, do I hate being right.
Here we are, with the damned election nearly two years away, and the clown car called the Democrat Presidential Candidate Roster sitting at twenty or more, and they are trying desperately to one-up each other to see who can be more Leftist.
It has reached insane levels.
One candidate wants to tax the rich at 70%. The next one who opens their mouth wants to tax the rich at 80%. The next at 90%.
Same with money spent on global warming. One candidate proposes that we get back into the Paris Climate Accord. The next one thinks we should do that, and spend a trillion dollars too. The next thinks 30 trillion is the key. Last I heard it was 93 TRILLION.
And free health care. And free college. And money from the government for everyone.
Abortion paid for. Late term abortion. Abortion after the child has exited the birth canal. I am surprised not to hear from the Left that a mother has the right to murder a child up to a year of age. Hell, why stop there. Just make it any age, and they will be right in step with Stalin, Mao, and Pol Pot. Which they are anyway.
They are tripping over each other to one up the last one. They are insane, and I am not hyperbolically using that term.
I am done talking with the Left, and have been for some time. Speaking with words to them only encourages their lunacy. Non-verbal communication will someday be the only path left, and they will force that on us.

Well he has been quite out in the open about his homosexuality, but until now, he has been more traditionally in the closet about his communism.
Maybe the primary is forcing him out with it, or maybe he just couldn’t keep the facade up any more.

Peter Buttplug has plan, a plan to sell socialism to anyone that will listen. Fortunately few do.
Whoever refers to our form of government as a democracy is uninformed and uneducated. Nowhere in the Constitution or the Declaration is the word democracy used. These people could catch a clue if they recited the Pledge of Allegiance.
