Winning back the House would require the GOP to actually make the effort to do so. The only reason they hung onto the Senate was because of Trump hitting the campaign trail. The GOP (excluding Trump) has been throwing the fight for years, though.

I want to believe in Nunes’ good intentions, but what exactly is the logic of holding back a large batch of criminal referrals because there might be more later? There will always be more later, and there is no limit on the number of letters he can send the DoJ per year.

So what is his real reason for not making the referrals?

Heat from the never Trump wing of the GOP, the Country Club Republicans who detest the populist aspect of the new, evolving GOP.You know who they are: Senators: Mitt Romney, Mike Lee, Susan Collins, Lisa Murokowski,Cory Gardner,Rob Portman,Ben Sasse, Dan Sullivan and Ohio Gov. John Kasich All of these have been actively working behind the scenes to destroy the populist movement and President Trump. They want PDJT to bear a cloud of suspicion , rather than be the victim of racketeers from an Obama weaponized DOJ and FBI, violating the 1st and 4th amendments of all American citizens using the FISA court, in usurpation of a duly elected president. That’s not the result the “Old Guard” GOP RINOs want.

Now they begin to put the heat on Nunes, IMHO, by threatening GOP funding and fun raising support for Nunes next election campaign in California, or redistricting Nunes out of Congress.These Senators do not want the truth to come out, because the progressive movement which is death to the “Old Guard “ GOP aristocracy who consider themselves privileged from birth, as if they were members of the British peerage.

I believe Nunes is under pressure from the Old Guard RINO GOP, especially in the Senate, who want President Trump to be defeated in 2020.The old guard want their power and privilege back, which would be very bad for America.

But Nunes needs to press on for the good of the country, proceeding with reckless abandon for his own personal political future. Nunes cannot be a half baked hero, he needs to go all the way and let the chips of his personal political fortune fall where they may.

I believe history will judge President Trump as a true representative of The People, in defiance of vested ideological and finacial interests in Congress.

As such, President Trump will go down in history as one of the greatest presidents of our nation, one who got the job done while carrying the burden of a felonious, criminally unjust cross upon which his vile , unpatriotic, political opponents continuously try to crucify him. All those pressures are probably bearing down on him. My observation is that Nunes has one cold foot in the Swamp. As a Gang of Eight insider, he knows that a functional IC is essential for containing real national security threats, and has to weigh whether treating the infection might kill it but also take out the host. The Democrats (i.e., the DoJ, FBI, CIA, etc.) have set up a situation where the agencies are held hostage to their internal corruption. Though outing it all works great for me, Nunes is probably in a morally difficult position. There are probably many voices whispering I his ear to pipe down and let AG Barr do his job, which of course Barr will never do.

Alternatively, Nunes might feel he has oversold what he can prove, at this time, and does not want to be destroyed as McCarthy II. Going up against a corrupt machine skilled in ruining people and their families is perilous business.

Soon we will see if Nunes has what it takes to be a genuine American hero. I hope and pray Nunes has the “right stuff.”

I remember how Nunes was forced to recuse himself from the House Committee due to a bogus DONK ethics Committee, and after a few months he bounced right back to continue to expose these Donk a$$hats to the President, in their sordid attempts to usurp a duly elected President of our Country.
