Democratic presidential hopeful Pete Buttigieg said Thursday that he was unaware when he said "all lives matter" in 2015 that the phrase was being used to undercut the Black Lives Matter movement.
Buttigieg spoke about his past comment after a speech at the National Action Network, a politically powerful organization founded by Rev. Al Sharpton. The phrase "all lives matter" has been used by critics of the Black Lives Matter movement to push back on the view that closer attention needs to be paid to the deaths of African American men and women at the hand of law enforcement.

He says he will never say it again because he admires Black Lives Matter so much.
"That is the contribution of Black Lives Matter and it's a reason why, since learning about how that phrase was being used to push back on that activism, I've stopped using it in that context."
If black lives really matters they’d stop killing each other.
Context? I didn’t think a phrase as self-evident as “all lives matter” required much explanation.
Liberalism is clearly a disease that rots the synapsis in the brain so that cause and effect no longer works that the neuron level. Once neurons are no longer subject to cause and effect, then perceptions about the world aren't either.
I think refusing to say my life matters just as much as anyone else is a deal breaker. Duh.
And how about the police slaughtered at a BLM rally? But don’t dare blame that on the rally! Charlotesville now of course that’s different.

Well keep in mind, babies’lives don’t matter. It’s very important to leftists that many many lives don’t matter. Not just babies, also any opposition, including black conservatives.
Only a handful of unarmed blacks were killed by law enforcement last year, something on the order of 15 individuals. And most of those who were killed brandished some kind of object that was mistaken for a gun.

Keep in mind BLM was built on lies about innocent police officers. But hey so what it sounds good. (But “all lives matters” doesn’t?).

Let’s deconstruct, shall we?
If “All Lives Matter” signals that black lives do not matter, then black lives are not included in the set “all lives.” If all equals every life, it means that blacks are not part of life.
How can this even make any sense, even to the handful of Stone cold anti-black racists who might exist?
The only logic is to include any color skin of living people into the set of all lives. And proclaiming that any one color of skin of living people matters says that the others matter less or not at all. Thus all lives matter is a better slogan, which leaves no group of living people out.
Let’s not forget all the black lives consigned to misery by the democrats’evil teacher unions in the cities. Their lives don’t matter enough to teach them to read.
