Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky.) blocked a resolution calling for special counsel Robert Mueller's report on the Russia probe be made public, marking the fifth time Republicans have blocked the House-passed measure.
Sen. Mark Warner (D-Va.), the vice chairman of the Senate Intelligence Committee, asked for unanimous consent on Thursday to pass the resolution, which cleared the House in a 420-0 vote earlier this year.
"What we're talking about is basic transparency, let's make sure the full Mueller report is released to Congress
and then let's make sure the American people see as much of this report as possible," Warner said from the Senate floor.
He added that to warn future campaigns and candidates about potential election interference "we need to fully understand what the Russians were trying to do."
Under Senate rules, any one senator can request that any bill or resolution be passed. But because it requires the signoff of every senator, any one senator can also block their request.
Paul objected because Warner wouldn't agree to amend the nonbinding House-passed resolution to include provisions calling for the public release of communications between several Obama-era officials including former President Obama, former FBI Director James Comey and former CIA Director John Brennan.

Could someone here please explain the House 420 to 0 Vote to release the Report?
I would assume that would be the Legal Redacted Report, but the talking head Democrats keep referring to this Vote to release the full unredacted Report when attacking the GOP Senate not going along.

" Its Barrs job"The way I understand it, it's a matter of existing law that the grand jury info is secret, and I may be wrong about that, because it's what I heard on the media.

Good. The release will come with the classified sensitive and grand- jury sections redacted as required by law.

Now why would Warner want to do that?.....
"Paul objected because Warner wouldn't agree to amend the nonbinding House-passed resolution to include provisions calling for the public release of communications between several Obama-era officials including former President Obama, former FBI Director James Comey and former CIA Director John Brennan."We're getting closer to Obama and gang's skullduggery all the time.

I think the House GOP has decided not to get baited into this stuff. If anyone voted against this meaningless show-and-tell resolution they know they would be facing ads like this:
"Representative Badperson voted to bury the Mueller report and help Trump get away with his Russian Collusion. We can't afford Representative Badperson's Russian Collusion. Vote for candidate Gaycolor this November sixth."

Release of its info is determine by law. Congress must change the law if they want access.

Just last week Rand Paul was hated here. He's in third place for GOPers we love to hate. Second place is Lindsey Graham. The Gold is held by Ted Cruz, who went from hero, to zero (his graceless non-concession speech at the Convention) back to good guy (with a beard!).
Rand's oscillations in Freeper emotion are a little less than those two, so far.
