Two skateboarders vandalize grave sites of former President Gerald Ford and First Lady Betty Ford

The Grand Rapids Police Department is searching for two vandals who defaced the gravesites of President Gerald R. Ford and First Lady Betty Ford at the Gerald R. Ford Presidential Library and Museum.
Cops released photos of the March 27 incident that shows a man and woman sitting on a wall that’s part of the memorial site. The man appears to be carving or writing something on the panels that read “Lives Committed to God, Country and Love.”
Surveillance video of the incident obtained by CBS affiliate WWMT also shows the woman kick a skateboard into the memorial wall.

My very first vote in our High School mock election was for Congressman Gerald Ford. I was 7th grade. Years later when he was House Minority leader he assisted me by intervening with INS who were giving us problems getting my Thai wife and our son here to the US.
Several years later that son became a member of the same BSA troop in which President Ford had been an Eagle Scout.
On one 4th of July the President was here taking part in the 4th of July parade. My son marched in the parade right behind the Presidents limo.
I sent President Ford a letter with photo thanking him for his help in getting my family here. I pointed out the troop number worn by my son was His too.
He replied with a nice letter which my son values.
