Frankly, I don’t agree with this. The SDNY could begin and pursue many, many more investigations into Trumpworld should they decide they want to. They are NOT going to go into what Mueller did. They could harass the Trump foundation and augment or join the current state investigation into same to any extent they wish. They could go into any number of financial investigations as they care to. They’ll NOT be looking at collusion or obstruction but they could tie up Trump in legalities to time unknown and unknowable.
They just don’t get it. Trump is mister clean. He has been thinking about running for President for years. He has always been mister clean, but super extra clean for many years.

Although the SDNY seems to have not realized it until lately, they answer to the United States Attorney General.
Seems pretty clear Barr shut down Mueller’s game, and I have little doubt the SDNY’s fishing hole will soon ice over.
I don’t know about “Mister Clean,” but I do know this: If the DOJ couldn’t find something on Trump when Eric Holder and Loretta Lynch were AG, they ain’t finding it now.
Since when the Rat politicians want to confiscate IRS functions? If Trump’s tax returns were bad it is IRS’s job to audit, not some political hack.
Reminds me of Comey who as FBI director was usurping DOJ prerogatives.
New York is driving distance for all patriots who live in the lower 48.
Some might have to show up and make our concerns known.
Attempting another witch hunt using the NY judicial system might be like inviting a million Trump supporters to show up with a very strong concern about the rule of law.
Not the touristy kind of visitors they might prefer.

What happened to the Trump-appointed HEAD of the SDNY who recused himself? Is he on permanent vacation while Preet Bhahara’s jihadists do whatever they wish?
They will never stop. They can only be thwarted by removing them from power...but they will never stop. The committee gavels being in Democrat hands in the House guarantees this circus continues prominently to create media narratives that there’s an INVESTIGATION going on. The disadvantage we have on the right (and most everything other than the far Left) is that we have actual lives we want to live outside of politics - the Left does not.
It was only a couple of years ago when the top dogs in the NY State Assembly were indicted on all assorted corruption charges. The Trump DOJ just needs to make clear to the SDNY that 1) the DOJ is ultimately in charge and 2) the swamp-like nature of Albany warrants further scrutiny to ensure that all corrupt NY pols have been apprehended.
In general I agree with you, but if the sdny came up with compelling evidence of some Financial issue with Trump World and brought it to Barr’s attention, quite possibly he could not ignore it. I’m quite willing to believe that Barr is ready to shut down Mueller’s nonsense, almost all of which was based upon innuendo.
Mueller knew -- right off the bat -- that he was joining a hoax, yet he dragged it out for two years, timed his indictments and announcements for anti-Trump political effect, down to actually releasing his report on a Friday night data dump.
So why did he fold his tent all of a sudden? What did he procure for himself? Clandestine immunity from prosecution when it hits the fan?
