The amendment is supported by other Democrats in the chamber, an aide said, including Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand (D-NY) and senior members of the Senate Judiciary Committee: Dick Durbin (D-IL) and Dianne Feinstein (D-CA).

That’s good. Now that they solved that problem /sarc, they can move on to something else on the snowflake agenda.

I’ve cleaned stuff out of my cats’ litter box that was far smarter than the vast void between Gillibrand’s ears.

LOL talk about desperation. I hope before Trump’s second term is up, they’re all locked away for the rest of their miserable lives.

What a bunch of sore losers.

If you don’t like running for the office as it is set forth in the U S Constitution, don’t run.

I have a question: was there actual race-based exclusion in that old system, or was it simply excluding renters and slaves of whatever melanin level, while including real property owners of whatever melanin level?

Patriots are reminded that the Founding States had intended for citizens to work only with their state lawmakers, not the feds, to establish 10th Amendment-based state social spending programs that the corrupt, post-17th Amendment ratification feds have unconstitutionally established with state powers that they have stolen from the states.

Patriots need to elect a new patriot Congress in 2020 elections that will not only promise to support PDJT's vision for MAGA, but will also promise to work with Trump to surrender state powers that the feds have been stealing from the states back to the states.

Remember in November 2020!

MAGA!

I really don’t think they’re going to get the 45 smaller states to give up their voice in a major election.

DOA. The majority of states would become insignificant and ruled by the minority of states if this were to happen. The majority will never vote for it if they have any brains. Wait, it could happen.

...and then 38 states. Good luck with that

Yes, only 13 state legislatures have to vote against it and there are more than 13 states with smaller populations than L.A. county. Think those states will vote to let L.A., NY city, and Chicago determine the Presidency?

No, you stupid bitch

It’s built on the Electoral College. So you bastards don’t have a chance to screw up the country, esp with your insane immigration policies

Schatz also tweeted this:

“It is not radical to want to directly elect a president and not have the process intermediated through a “college” that was established as a compromise to accommodate slave owning states, nor is it radical to give millions of Puerto Rican Americans representation in Congress.”

The Electoral College was NOT a compromise to accommodate slave owning States. That is a lie.

Puerto Rico is not a State, so those votes ought not to count the the general presidential election no matter what.

Wow ... how ‘turned on its head’ is this?

These ‘senators’ should be creatures of each respective state, representing the ‘state’ at the national legislature level ..

Out Founders have to be turning over in their graves.

We have total idiots at even the national level now.

I thought the House of Representatives was responsible for initiating a constitutional amendment.
