Satellite image of Barghuz, Syria.

It's a one gig image, so zoom in to the river, about center, 2/3 down. Zoom in to the two islands in the river and the north side river bank. That's where the ISIS fighters made their last stand.

Check out the easterly island in the river, there is an enormous crater, far bigger than any of the others.....MOAB?

Even the others are no small bomb blasts.

Filled with water, bridges out with single hits.

I’m inclined to suspect a stick of JDAMS. using the ruler tool of google Earth, the craters look to be about 30 meters in diameter which is less that what would be expected of Daisy Cutter class ordinance..

I compared those craters to the houses, and some of the craters were bigger.

In addition to the big bombs, I saw lots of big fires burning during the night bombardments, and saw that there were a lot of charred human remains in their open fighting positions after it was over.

One night I watched live as somebody was shelling them with artillery. They were using the White Phosphorus illumination rounds, and they were fusing them perfectly to spray the ground instead of the sky.

They were not using daisy cutters.

I think they used some bunker buster bombs, but a Daisy cutter would have taken out most of that island. Those things appear like small nukes when they go off.

When it comes to shooting fish in a barrel, the daisy cutter is a little overkill—although nothing is too good for ISIS.

30 meters is a hugh bomb crater. The black dots are too circular to be the actual crater. I suspect they have been altered.

But daisy cutters have a shelf-life. 18 months? 28 months? Something on that order of time.

The slurry settles out, making it much less effective.

Might as well use them while they're good.

BLU-82B Daisy Cutter Bomb.jpg
A 15,000 lb BLU-82/B on display at the National Museum of the United States Air Force

AKA Daisy cutters

It was used successfully during military operations in Vietnam, the Gulf War and Afghanistan. The BLU-82 was retired in 2008 and replaced with the more powerful GBU-43/B MOAB.

MOABAFAM.JPG

On 13 April 2017, a MOAB was dropped on an ISIS-Khorasan cave complex in Achin District, Nangarhar Province, Afghanistan. It was the first operational use of the bomb. Two days later, an Afghan army spokesman said that the strike killed 94 ISIS-K militants, including four commanders, with no signs of civilian casualties.

Actually, 30 meters is too large. Look around the image for reference points and the craters are house sized.
