The Joe organizers are picking the least offensive examples, and finding a selected (very) few that say “it wasn’t a big deal, it was reassuring”.

The only reason liberals are speaking out, is that they support a Democrat candidate other than Joe Biden. Otherwise, they would remain silent, as they have forever. Ash Carter’s wife has come out and said she didn’t have a problem with Biden’s touch, that he was just being affectionate and supportive. Her expression captured in the photo of the occasion seems to put the lie to that assertion.

The touching of women is a bit easier to introduce into the mainstream.
