Apparently, the majority of people cannot comprehend the concept of dosage. Everything, including all of the vitamins and minerals and everything else we need to survive, including water are toxic at the right dosage. The world is made of scary chemicals and all of them will kill you if you get too much of them.
Yes, thanks to today’s sophisticated equipment, we can detect minute traces of various pesticides in fruits and vegetables. These are present in harmless quantities along with all of the natural toxins that plants produce for themselves to ward off various enemies.
But the word “chemicals!!” is a trigger word for a sizable percentage of folks.

Do you ever wonder if these judges have hidden ownership of litigation firms?
Leftists are very selective what they believe is “settled science”.
This is another example of the liberals bring the anti-science crowd.
CA juries are vicious. If they think they can stick it o a big corporation they will. All the comments I see online at the news sites are people desiring the destruction of Monsanto.
Yeah, I’m not gonna rig up a solar shower and use it in that manner. Although, Mrs. rktman does think I could use some foliage reduction in areas. :-)
Is he related to Cthulu?
Republic was hot to buy that landfill in Bridgeton, too.
Glyphosate is no more toxic than warm clam juice.
Enyoy a nice glyco-chowder.
Ill pass!
And I will wear gloves and mask and not rub it all over my body like aftershave.
Youre smart.
Any yet we drench our food with this stuff...
How do these trial lawyers get away with this!?

His lawyers emphasized 2015 findings from the World Health Organizations International Agency for Research on Cancer, which concluded that glyphosate is probably carcinogenic to humans. But this outfit has also claimed you can get cancer from working the night shift, drinking hot beverages, eating red meator nearly anything else you can eat, touch or do... The public-health agency Health Canada says it left no stone unturned in evaluating glyphosate in 2017. It found no likely cancer risk and notes that no pesticide regulatory authority in the world currently considers glyphosate to be a cancer risk to humans at the levels at which humans are currently exposed.
It is probably good law in that the EPA analysis was not original science or a published treatise or official finding so as to escape the rule against hearsay.
They're the only thing in common in all the studies!
Yep, just being overly careful.
As seen on TV....
I don’t know if it is coincidence or not but my cousin just got diagnosed with non hodgkins lymphoma. He’s a landscaper and uses Round Up.
Unlike the idiot who sued and won. IIRC, he was a groundskeeper that was covered in the stuff on a daily basis. It may or may not have caused the cancer, just was a "likely" toxin.
Sez me, any chemical in massive doses is probably bad. And, if it's bad for plants, it's probably bad for people.
I use as directed, with gloves, wash up afterwards, and keep the family out of where I sprayed for a day or two.
But this is FR, discussing a court payoff. No need for common sense in either forum!
