This Colorado sheriff is willing to go to jail rather than enforce a proposed gun law

Weld County Sheriff Steve Reams disagrees so much with a gun bill making its way through the Colorado legislature that he's willing to go to jail rather than enforce it. "It's a matter of doing what's right," he said. He's not the only one who feels so strongly. The controversial "red flag" bill aims to seize guns temporarily from people who are deemed to be a threat to themselves or others.

Colorado's state Senate passed the bill Thursday by a single vote, without any Republican support, and the bill is expected to pass the House, possibly this week. With Democratic majorities in both chambers, state Republicans have too few votes to stand in the way.

That's what it's coming too. A few old broken guns displayed very conspicuously in a gun cabinet or the back of your pickup and your "real" collection hidden really well and with others stored off site. So if your liberal neighbor "red flags" you, you can just invite the police in as polite as punch, and then laugh about how your sure gonna miss your guns as they load up your broken junk guns.

Not me, as I will be dead before I would have a chance to use it! They ain’t a’takin’ my guns!! Are you going to let it get to that point? Seriously, how do you picture gun confiscation happening and you and me still alive??? Or all that talk about “cold dead fingers” was just talk?

I’m so proud of these sheriffs. But on the red flag law in my state I haven’t heard about any abuses and probably would have if there were.
