Trump gave these countries warning earlier. The problem is that there are major political forces encouraging these people to emigrate (think Soros and Cuba) and they have a lot of money to spend and a fierce determination to disrupt both Latin America and the US.
I don’t blame the people for going, and I hate it when I see ugly comments on FR about the poor, stupid, manipulated people being sent up here and set up to be ugly photo ops. They’re poor and they’re being used.
So I am glad Trump is going to hit their governments where it hurts. Maybe that will outweigh the Soros money, maybe not. But whatever, it’s important not to go after the “migrants,” but the forces behind them.
Maybe the State Department has other plans.
About time, and if the Democrats want to give them money then they can from their own back accounts not ours.
Liberal Democrats love to talk about redistributing our wealth as “investments,” but they usually leave out talking about, in real terms, the other side of that equation: Return on those investments.
