Some of this new technology is installed along with the new barriers, but most are there own programs, fielding to different locations, on their own schedules.
While the wall was being analyzed, planned and prepared; so were the technology programs. They have now started hitting the border, and their pace will pick up this year and next, just as barrier building will.
Could those monitors call in missile strikes? :)
Intercept them so they get their ‘papers’ to appear in court some years down the road and get released into the country.

What would work really well is simply flying slow cheap spotter planes ,, Cessna 152/172’s ... you can get a real good long range view from 5-10,000 feet ...

You are right. Change the laws. Mandatory e-verify with huge fines. Immediate deportation of any illegal entrant.
