Actually, I recall reading some time ago that the relationship between Emanuel and the obama’s had gotten rather frosty. I think they wanted to the run the city behind the scenes and just assumed they would once their boy was in there, but he actually wanted to run it - for better or for worse - himself.
Nope. Rahm’s old news,more like this was Tony Preckwinkle, old time Chicago Machine corrupt hack who is WAY down in the polls to replace Rahm. Rahm is too slick for a ham-handed move like this, but Crimesha Foxx who saw her mentor “Prickwrinkle” going down jumped at the chance to ingratiate herself with the Hollywood/Obama crowd who would give her a much better power base, much closer to her other mentor, Kamala Harris.
Rahm anger was real, but he also knows how the Obama’s operate better than anyone and wanted to be sure he was not the point man for the retribution that was sure to come.
