Shortened title.

Full title: Former Deputy Asst. Attorney General: Kim Foxx Faces Up to 20 Years in Jail if Convicted of Corruption

Appearing Thursday evening on the Fox News Channel, former Deputy Assistant Attorney General John Yoo told host Laura Ingraham that Cook County State’s Attorney Kim Foxx could serve up to 20 years in prison if convicted of corruption for her handling of the Jussie Smollett case.

Kim Foxx is under fire after all charges were dropped against the Empire star in connection to allegedly staging a hate crime against himself to boost his career. This week, Foxx’s office backpedaled on claims that the top prosecutor formally rescued herself from the case after Tina Tchen, the former chief of staff of former first lady Michelle Obama, pressured her to have the Smollett investigation transferred from the Chicago Police Department to the FBI.

I’d exchange smollet for foxx

He’s trashed his life so he’s nothing now.
(Not that he ever was)

If Foxx can go to jail , that works

“How could this woman have her department make this decision not knowing how much scrutiny would be put forth? This is amateur hour at its finest!”

When the elite liberals first POA goes bad and gets exposed, amateur hour takes over!

You all have this all wrong!

She’s in the office to collect a paycheck not to actually do anything!

It’s Chicago!

She violated “legal ethics” ;-)

Legal and ethics should _never_ be used in the same sentence!

When I read the article, those two words stuck out like a sore thumb to me too.

News nowadays has so much speculation and fortune telling sprinkled in it, that I call it the "iffa', coulda', woulda', shoulda' syndrome" of news articles.

Then they throw in "anonymous" sources or "unnamed sources" or "from some official who's in the know but is not allowed to go on the record" and they are well on their way to having a fake news story.

It's not a giant leap from there for the media to claim that "the election will be won by a Hillary in a landslide" or that "Donald Trump definitely colluded with the Russians to get elected".

They follow this formula so often that they just sit at their desks and make stuff up rather than go out and interview people and get the proper facts report the "real" story.

What about the Judge who agreed to seal all the records in that case?

While this deal stinks to high heaven, I am not sure you can blame the judge. You have a prosecutor and a defense attorney that reached a deal. Any judge with that is going to sign off on the deal and move on to the next case.

that's like police doing an "internal investigation" to see if anything went wrong.

Cook County State’s Attorney Kim Foxx cut a deal with the Cop killer which permitted him to be out on probation when he killed Chicago police officer Rivera. “According to the deal, he would plead guilty to all charges in the first incident. In the second incident, prosecutors would throw out the home invasion and all weapons charges, then the state would reduce the remaining burglary count to “attempted burglary,” and Jackson would plead guilty in exchange for probation.” http://www.cwbchicago.com/2019/03/judge-released-accused-cop-killer-from.html

So actual crimes are now politically motivated. The way I read it is if you are white and not one of the elite you go to jail. If you are black, your race absolves you of all crimes.

“pressured her to have the Smollett investigation transferred from the Chicago Police Department to the FBI.”

I’m not a conspiracy nut; can’t stand ‘em.
For Foxx and others involved in this insanity,
they had to know this would blow up. You can’t
subvert justice openly in a nationally prominent
case that hits all the current hot buttons,
and think nothing will happen. Even in Chicago.

So then, what could be so big a deal that people
are throwing away, at the least, their careers?
Which is it? Are they expecting monstrous rewards?
Or are they covering up something monstrous?

I don’t see the upside of letting a black queer actor
walk away from an obvious hoax.

One of these days pulling the Black card is not going to work. The whole country will be better off for it.
