We humans ALWAYS want an explanation.

If we don't get one (which is MOST of the time) then we tend to make things up.

Lot, early on, showed himself to be unworthy. First, he asked for (and got) the best parcel of land, then took a foolish wife, then moved to a City so sinful God determined to destroy it, then offered to let the wicked men of the city use his daughters for sex, then had to be nearly dragged out of the city, to keep from being destroyed, then allowed his two daughters to get him drunk, and have sex with him. What a guy!

And yet...

2 Peter 2:7-8

7 and if he rescued Lot, a righteous man, who was distressed by the depraved conduct of the lawless 8 (for that righteous man, living among them day after day, was tormented in his righteous soul by the lawless deeds he saw and heard)—

If they had been Muslims banging on the door for a free lunch, he would have offered them BLTs.

These Bible folks, gotta love 'em.

Ot, there are pillars of salt all around the place. And it makes for a great ending. (Which it is.)

To make sure that the Real Vermont Lt gets the correct treatment and not Vermont Lt IV's list of allergies.

Google/Facebook/Tweet your own name and just see how many other humans have your name.

If it is Smith; WOW!

I work in a hospital, I understand it’s important to keep good records. My point is that I ALSO have to show my insurance card. But, if it’s all free for everyone why do they need to know who I am? On the other hand, will they make sure that non Americans are not getting Medicare on our dime?

The whole thing is unworkable.

The Bible never said we had to be perfectly good, only faithful. God would provide the perfect, we need only believe.

Lot believed and had faith but let his lusts pull him away from God. However, when Lot had to make a choice, he made the right one.

Aye, Laddie. 'Tis the bottom line.

We'll plead our cause at the bar of God,
We poor lost souls for whom Christ died.
