Kim Foxx Never ‘Formally’ Recused Herself from Jussie Smollett Case

Cook County State’s Attorney Kim Foxx never “formally” recused herself from the Jussie Smollett case ― contrary to the Chicago prosecutor’s public announcement that she had done so ― a spokesperson for the prosecutor confirms.

In a statement Wednesday, Cook County State’s Attorney spox Kiera Ellis said Foxx “did not formally recuse herself or the [State’s Attorney] Office based on any actual conflict of interest. As a result, she did not have to seek the appointment of a special prosecutor.”

According to Ellis, Foxx’s announcement that she had recused herself “was a colloquial use of the term rather than in its legal sense.”

“Instead, in an abundance of caution, Fox informally separated herself from the decision-making over the case and left it to her Assistants, as happens in 99.9% of all cases handled by the Office,” the spokesperson added.

Prosecutors abruptly dropped all charges against Jussie Smollett on Tuesday after the Empire actor accused of faking a racist, anti-gay attack on himself agreed to let the city keep his $10,000 in bail. However, he maintained his innocence and insisted he was attacked.

Chicago columnists blasted Kim Foxx's decision to drop the 16 felony counts against hoaxer Smollett. Chicago police union called for a federal investigation into Kim Foxx’s handling of the case.....her sub rosa actions on the Smollett family’s behalf after she was contacted by Tina Tchen, Michelle Obama's onetime aide. “Amateur hour is over.” ....this is nothing new for Kim Foxx. We’ve been complaining about her for two years on so many levels. Her office is just completely out of control.”

Equally reprehensible are the idiots at Southern Illinois University School of Law who gave her a law degree. And those at Southern Illinois University Carbondale who let her out.

Only if you are carrying a Get Out of Jail Free card signed by B.Hussein Obama, with no expiration date. Otherwise you are expected to follow the law or face trial and punishment. The two-tiered justice system Rush keeps referencing.

Team Smollett was pushing for the FBI to handle this. The Chicago FBI office is obviously in the pocket of Obama. Its incredible that the FBI is even less trustworthy than Cook County and CPD regarding the prosecution of protected democrats. Why would anyone be surprised after watching the FBI and DOJ in action for the last four years.

Indeed, an Obama DOJ would have been on it from the start. This DOJ is not motivated at all in this case. In fact, the local police could have contacted them, but it is Foxx ,who through Michelle’s former chief of staff, specifically demanded the locals drop the charges so that DOJ deep state outsiders take care of it, Alinksy short circuit style.
