The Jakobshavn glacier, located in Greenland, had been shrinking about 130 feet a year since 2012. But to the surprise of scientists, the last two years has seen the glacier growing at about the same rate it was shrinking.
I'm waiting for the inevitable explanation for the glacier's growth being global warming - which was no doubt the reason it was shrinking.

Being an ‘anti-glacialist’ myself, we must put a stop to the growing menace of rampant glaciers.
Hmmm? Greenland is known for volcanoes.
My guess is that an active volcanic vent under the glacier that was active has now gone dormant.
Volcanic heat melts ice and when the heat subsides it freezes again.

It's called "Climate Change" for a reason. You gave it that name and now you are stuck with it. Just like you did with "Global Warming" ... oops, is that politically correct to say these days?
In school, I assume you went to school, you could have learned about CYCLES. A very important subject. If you've never studied cycles here is a graphic to get you started:
A truer headline would be “Scientists DISAPPOINTED that ... glacier is growing.”
I saw this basic article the other day from a different source. But the article I read at that time went into a rant about how this was only temporary and things were going to get much worse due to global warming. So I stopped reading.
The point is that there is a leftist version of this article in the MSM somewhere.

About 20,000 years ago most of the Northern hemisphere was covered by glaciers a mile thick in places as far south as Chicago and New York. Within about a 1000 years the glaciers had retreated to northern Canada. The massive climate change that caused the Ice Age and the massive warming that ended it cannot be explained by the man caused CO2 driven dogma of the Cult of the Climate Change. Obvious that there are other mechanisms of climate change that have altered the planet’s climate besides the ridiculous CO2 theory

I’ve actually been on this glacier doing survey work for the university of Maine, Orono. If anyone ever goes there bring mosquito nets and a ton of mosquito repellent. (1986)

It happens to all male glaciers.
Sooner or later, with enough $$$ for studies, these folks might discover the sunspot cycle and its effect on weather.
