MOSCOW (AP) Russia reacted with an "I told you so" moment Monday in state media after the conclusion of Special Counsel Robert Mueller's investigation into Moscow's involvement in the U.S. presidential election didn't find evidence of collusion.

Wrapping up his 22-month investigation, Mueller's report found no evidence that U.S. President Donald Trump's campaign "conspired or coordinated" with Russian officials to influence the 2016 election.
Mueller said in a passage from the report quoted by U.S. Attorney General William Barr that there was no evidence that Trump "was involved in an underlying crime related to Russian election interference." But he reached no conclusion on whether Trump obstructed justice.
“But he reached no conclusion on whether Trump obstructed justice.”
The witchhunt was an injustice. There is no law against obstruction of injustice.
This nonsense crippled President’s Trump ability to deal with the Russians and has no doubt resulted in scores of additional deaths in the nether regions of the world. Democrats could not care less about this.
Russia has no reason to gloat.
Yes, there was no collusion they achieved with Trump, but (a) it does in fact not mean they didn’t try, and (b) it does not mean Russia was not attempting in other ways to try to interfere in the formation of political opinions on the presidential candidates.
No, I am not saying any Russian efforts made a material difference in the election outcome, but again that ineffectiveness is not a statement that they did not try.
And if there was any collusion with Russia, I think it was clearly in the formation of the Steele Dossier (who was many of Steele’s sources? - Russians). It is just as plausible to believe the Russians were “in” on the Steele Dossier all along. (Look how good Billary, Inc.’s “reset” worked for them.)
I don't understand why this is a bad thing. We interfere in other elections both overtly and covertly. If the Russians weren't attempting to do the same thing, they should be removed for cause from their job. It is the job of our intelligence agencies to oppose them as they can. This game is played out at every level across the entire globe.
Anyone who claims the above is false shouldn't be allowed to play with sharp objects.
The Britts were listenening in on American citizens ..which legal.
What doesn’t seem legal is they were sharing it with obama?
“I don’t understand why this is a bad thing. We interfere in other elections both overtly and covertly.”
I don’t agree that merely acknowledging that our federal government plays in other countries political sand box, does not make Russia interfering in our political processes a “good thing”. It is something we ought to be trying to prevent and even counter and it is a “good thing” to admit we have found them doing it, don’t like it and don’t approve of it.
We do it too.
Hell we’ve decided elections in other countries in the past.
It usually only works well when there are traitors in your country willing to work with an outsider.
“But he reached no conclusion on whether Trump obstructed justice.”
Mueller isn’t supposed to offer a conclusion on whether Trump obstructed justice. He found no evidence. Case closed.
I now believe that Comey was the insurance policy and his "plan" was in the works when he "typed" the context of his meeting with the President. Frankly, I believe he was wearing a wire every time he met alone with the President....and the "typing on his computer in the car" was something he made up to cover his a**.
I have no reason to believe that these insubordinate POS's wouldn't do that to the President.
Actually, it is. In general, U.S. intelligence agencies are prohibited from spying on Americans except in limited circumstances (warrants, etc). In general, the U.K. is prohibited from spying on its own citizens with the same general provisios. So, what actually happens, is that the US spies on UK citizens and provides the information to UK. The UK spies on Americans and provides the into to FedGov. Because they are not technically in violation of the law, they are cool with this arrangement.
This has been the case for ages. Fedgov laughs at your 'reasonable expectation of privacy'.
“We do it too” (a) does not mean we like it done to us, (b) does not mean it is a good thing, (c) does not mean we do not and should not try to prevent it. “We do it too” is just a way of excusing an enemy for things we don’t like from them.
In the after action review requested by Putin, he will probably task his Information Warfare Division to develop a plan to execute this brilliant cost effective operation in the future.
Then off to the club for several rounds of fine Russian Vodka. All of the Senior Russian Comrades are still laughing!
