Pelosi, Schumer Joint Statement On Attorney General Barr’s Summary Of The Mueller Report
March 24, 2019
Washington, D.C. – Today, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and Senate Democratic Leader Chuck Schumer released the following statement regarding Attorney General Barr’s summary of the Mueller report:
“Attorney General Barr’s letter raises as many questions as it answers. The fact that Special Counsel Mueller’s report does not exonerate the president on a charge as serious as obstruction of justice demonstrates how urgent it is that the full report and underlying documentation be made public without any further delay. Given Mr. Barr’s public record of bias against the Special Counsel’s inquiry, he is not a neutral observer and is not in a position to make objective determinations about the report.
“And most obviously, for the president to say he is completely exonerated directly contradicts the words of Mr. Mueller and is not to be taken with any degree of credibility.
“Congress requires the full report and the underlying documents so that the Committees can proceed with their independent work, including oversight and legislating to address any issues the Mueller report may raise. The American people have a right to know.”

I don’t think Barr has that figured out yet. He certainly made a mess of things with that statement.
And since there was NO collusion, which is the crime they were looking for, there is NO crime
I like that idea. Trump has hinted in the past that he is vindictive. A literal document dump on Schmucky’s desk would make great news coverage.

Pelosi and Schumer know that there are limitations on what Bob Barr can reveal in his summary of the Mueller Report. They are counting on the ignorant public; many who are on board with a lawless political organization that calls itself the Democrat Party. They are as far from the rule of law as it gets.
What Barr submits to Congress will have all evidentiary material left out that has no relevance to those who did not meet the threshold for any indictment. That includes the President. According to Mark Levin:
“Bill Barr is not part of the Postal Service where he picks up the report and gives it to Congress. This regulation has been in place for 20 years since the Clinton Administration: His job is to look at this report, to make sure there isn’t secret 6-C grand jury information which legally is not to be made public. It’s his job to make sure that FBI raw notes—301s—are not to be distributed publicly. And, believe it or not, it’s his job to make sure that people are not smeared who haven’t been charged. Bill Barr and the executive branch, they are not the impeachment arm of the House of Representatives for the Democrats. The Special Council report to the Attorney General is not an impeachment report for the House Democrats.”
Mark Levin then quotes Watergate Special Prosecutor, Leon Jaworski:
“For the Watergate Special Prosecutor to make public the evidence it gathered concerning the former President and others who were not charged with criminal offenses, would add to the abuse of power to those that led to the creation of the Special Prosecutor’s office. The federal rules of criminal procedure prohibit the disclosure of information presented to a grand jury except as necessary in the course of criminal proceedings. . . . Most important, in terms of the American Constitutional system of government, is the notion of fundamental fairness for those who, after investigation, have not been charged with any criminal misconduct. This consideration is particularly important for a special prosecutor, whose independence considerably reduces his accountability and must be unusually sensitive to possible abuses of power. It is a basic axiom of our system of justice that every man is innocent until proven guilty after judicial proceedings designed to protect his rights to insure a fair adjudication of the charges against him. Where not charges are brought, it would be irresponsible and unethical for a prosecutor to issue a report suggesting criminal conduct on the part of an individual who has no effective means of challenging the allegations against him or of requiring the prosecutor to establish charges beyond a reasonable doubt.”
