What we need is justice. A special counsel to bring these high treason co-conspirators to justice. It’s obvious that Barr was brought in to make all this go quietly away. Sorry, it’s too big.
Of course he had every right to, but the lack of exoneration gave the Dems the tiny nugget they needed, even though Trump was exonerated of the overall crime.
Not to be a self-promoter, but for the last two years I have refrained from really posting anything definitive about Rosenstein either way. I simply couldn’t make head nor tails over the guy.

Mainly because it deals with a high-ranking person (President). Things are so political as it is. Such wording may be legally appropriate, but it should be followed up with additional info. That sort of language can have the effect (intentional or otherwise) of undermining the President - any President.

Why appoint a special counsel? There are no conflicts or other of interest that would preclude the DOJ from doing this right now.
In fact, Barr's appointment as AG -- after spending 25+ years outside of government -- probably puts him in an position to oversee any investigation, prosecution, reorganization, disciplinary action, etc. in the DOJ.
