The Southern Poverty Law Center – the “vicious left-wing attack dog” used by the likes of Facebook, Twitter, Google and Amazon to identify “hate groups” – is unraveling.
A week after co-founder Morris Dees was ousted over sexual misconduct claims – with two dozen employees signing a letter of concern over “allegations of mistreatment, sexual harassment, gender discrimination, and racism,” the head of the SPLC, Richard Cohen, as well as the organization’s legal director, Rhonda Brownstein, resigned on Friday.
Cohen had been with the organization 33 years and was one of its most prominent figures.
At 5:03 p.m. Friday, Cohen sent a message to staff, with the subject line “Stepping Down,” announcing that he, too, would be leaving the organization that he and Dees had turned into a research and fundraising juggernaut.
“Whatever problems exist at the SPLC happened on my watch, so I take responsibility for them,” Cohen wrote, while asking the staff to avoid jumping to conclusions before the board completes an internal review of the Montgomery, Ala., organization’s work culture. –LA Times
Earlier this week, the SPLC board of directors appointed Michelle Obama’s former chief of staff, Tina Tchen – who, in an unrelated matter, unsuccessfully tried to pull strings and have the Jussie Smollett case transferred from the Chicago PD to the FBI. Tchen is heading up the inquiry into the sexual misconduct claims.
Also out on Friday was Rhonda Brownstein – who had worked with the organization for nearly three decades, according to the Montgomery Advertiser‘s Melissa Brown.

Before we pop the cork, we should figure out who will get control of the half billion in the bank, and what they intend to do with it. It may well be that the REAL reason Moe and company got pushed out is that they were not radical enough.

Morris Deas has been well known to be a twisted pervert for decades.
Innocent citizens have been targeted as haters by way of SPLC propaganda for nothing more than attending church services.
Local cops, who get indoctrinated in the reliability of published reports by certain outside groups such as the ADL and SPLC, will do surveillance, ask questions of neighbors, do a background check.
This can do damage to a person's employment prospects, credit rating, and insurance costs if it leaks out; in too many cases the suspect is not even aware he or she is being investigated.
We can be confident the mainstream media will never examine this invasion of a person's privacy, as they will not investigate the (Soros funded?) Anti-Fa and BLM protesters on the left who get protection from police in cities like Portland and Atlanta.
This sexual misconduct excuse for resignations may be cover for more nefarious actions by SPLC. And it didn't all start with Donald Trump's election. It goes way back, before the OKC bombing in 1995.

One of many reasons I left the news industry-— I knew SPLC wasn’t a credible news source 30 years ago, yet every reporter I knew had them on speed dial. Their smears were presented as the gospel truth of “experts”. Reporters & editors never even bothered to seek a rebuttal or opposing viewpoint.
maybe a special counselor should be appointed to do a deep deep investigation.
