LUKE AIR FORCE BASE, Ariz. — Sen. Martha McSally (R-Ariz.) spoke with President Trump about the late Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) on Wednesday, after days of unprecedented attacks by a sitting president on a dead war hero. McSally, addressing reporters after a meeting with base commanders here Thursday, expanded on a tweet she sent Wednesday in which she called McCain a hero. The tweet did not mention Trump, and in her remarks Thursday she again refrained from criticizing the president.
"I made it clear, I love John McCain. John McCain is an American hero. This state reveres John McCain, and his family deserves respect by everybody," McSally, who was appointed to the Senate seat once held by McCain late last year after she lost her own Senate race to Democrat Kyrsten Sinema, said of her conversation with Trump.

Looks like McSally is setting herself up to lose to Astronaut Mark Kelly (husband of Gabby Giffords, the Congresswoman who was shot in the head).

I think that was Governor Ducey’s calculation when deciding to appoint her. He figured that the piss-poor candidate McSally would lose the 2020 special election to the ‘RAT candidate. Then Ducey would have a “clean shot” to turn around and run against that ‘RAT Senator in the regular 2022 election for a complete new 6-year term.
An honorable person with an ounce of integrity, would have contacted the person who was the subject of the dossier, to let them know what was in it, and also let that person know they were going to forward it to the FBI for investigation. Had Hillary been the subject of the fake dossier, you can bet you bippy that McCain would have done just that. The man had no scruples. He was no gentleman, he was a slug.
McCain deserved nothing but the contempt and derision of all decent Americans.

Why does it seem it’s only those who lose elections who feel entitled to give Trump advice?
I voted for McSally last fall. I encouraged others to. But if she is the GOP nominee in 2020, I’m sitting out the election. She’s a lying POS. At some point, I just don’t feel a need to vote for every Republican.
That may be why she lost to AZ-mocking, bisexual Sinema last fall. Too many other Republicans in Arizona were already coming to the same conclusion.
Nah; Romney himself is the female Mitt Romney.

If Ducey runs against McSally I think he will win. He has been a good conservative no-drama governor, and we can rely on him to support Trump.
Martha is a RINO, cannot be trusted to support Trump. ....and then she made a big deal about being a rape victim. ....and then she started mouthing off about her “hero” Juan McStain. I’m done with her. She acts just like a #metoo McCain-loving Rat.

As I posted earlier, a Senator who earned respect both in the military and in Senate service was Democrat John Glenn, despite managing Bill Clinton's impeachment defense in the Senate.
If we must compare one Senator's total career to another, let's compare John McCain's to John Glenn's.

I used to think this guy was a war hero and deserved respect, however, MOMinTN set me straight. Now I think the guy was nothing but a self promoting a-hole that put himself before his country. Good riddance.
