President Trump on Monday revealed he donated a quarter of his $400,000 salary to the Department of Homeland Security.
"While the press doesn't like writing about it, nor do I need them to, I donate my yearly Presidential salary of $400,000.00 to different agencies throughout the year, this to Homeland Security," Trump tweeted. "If I didn't do it there would be hell to pay from the FAKE NEWS MEDIA!"
Trump posted a photo of the check, which was dated March 12 and paid to the order of the Department of Homeland Security. It was signed by Trump, whose address was listed as Trump Tower on New York City's Fifth Avenue.

I appreciate Trump, voted for him and will vote for him again. But he is not working for free. He received a paycheck and donated that whole paycheck back to FEDGOV.
He will receive a tax form for that donation and it will go on his tax forms. His tax lawyers will see that it does. Because if he does not file that check as a donation, the Democrats will be screaming that he falsified a government document.
I watched part of an interview Sec Neilson gave on national security issues in front of an audience at Auburn University yesterday, and continue to be impressed. She’s smart, articulate and does a very good job representing the Trump administration.

How about this. Trump works for no personal monetary gain as the resUlt of his charitable contributions to agencies of the US GOVERNMENT equal to the gross amount of his remuneration for work performed as President of the USA.

I was not slamming Trump. I was slamming the Democrats who are looking for the smallest thing to hit Trump with. They would claim he is lying if he said he worked for free (he gets a check), they would claim he is falsifying government documents if he doesn’t file the donation, and they would claim he is getting this from emoluments (I am waiting for this one).
Why would he get a deduction? The DHS is not a charitable organization
